The illumination of sunlight gently fondled over Rathi eyelids, disturbing her peaceful slumber. She slowly opened her eyes and gazed at the antic ceiling which was like in the king's fort, and it shined in the bright rays. She felt so surreal to lie down in that fluffy soft bed, she never had this much of comfort anywhere. Rathi immediately raises from her sleeping state grasping that she is in an anonymous home. She noticed that she isn't entirely covered, the saree was just wrapped around her and one end is tugged in her petticoat but she isn't wearing any blouse.
Who changed my clothes? She doubted whether it might be Aadhiyan and then yesterday's events started repeating in her head one by one.I saw an old woman in this room and she went out telling me that she will come with food. Then Aadhiyan came and left telling me to take rest. What happened after that? She again stumbled back on the bed and huffed in frustration because she couldn't remember anything.
I must have slept after that but he wouldn't change my clothes, he's not looking like a pervert, what if he did? Ah... whatever, first I should cover myself before he dashes into this room and makes this situation even more awkward, she thought and got down from the bed. She didn't find the clothes that she wore yesterday but she saw a blouse for this worn-out red yarn saree. She doesn't know how to drape it but tried her best level to cover properly but her scar is slightly visible in the gap left near the hip. It's stinging badly and the mark is turning black in color. Rathi felt so upset to see that. It's not like she worries about her appearance but this is disgusting to see and with this black tint it's even weirder to look.
After wearing the saree, she heads to the window and saw the dense trees following the vast sea. The ocean is so calm today and twinkling under the sun. Even this most beautiful sight doesn't bring any smile to Rathi's face she is too dull. This ocean has taken her everything, the only blood relation she had and the things that she cherished in her life is all gone except the bracelet that Aadhiyan gifted which is still hanging in her hand. She regretted that at least she would have taken her violin but nothing can be changed now.
Then suddenly a question raised in her head that how Aadhiyan came back here and what exactly happened last night? with these thoughts, Rathi walked back to the door since she felt an urgent need to pee.
She tried to unlock the under only to find that it's locked from outside, banging the door a few times she gritted in anger. Why the hell they locked me in?
Suddenly, the door opened to reveal Aadhiyan. He looked and smelled fresh, his hair and beard were damp telling that he has taken bath just now. Rathi avoided looking at his eyes, "Why did you lock me in?" she frowned and saw his right hand is band-aided near the elbow.
"I won't do that again," he replied irrelevantly. Rathi thought it's a waste to talk with this guy.
"Where is the bathroom?" she asked.
"It's at the end of this floor," he told and gave way for her to go out.
"Right or left?" she asked.
"Right,"
