Sumaya and Mithran's house is located at the front side of the fort, it's small compared to Aadhiyan's house and it's dull, dark and lifeless. But from there the ocean is near, we can reach it in a few steps from the rear side of the house and they provided one of the rooms in the backside. From her room, she could see their garden and ocean. Rathi is pleased by their kindness.
Mithran has talked so sweet like how her real brother would do. And Sumaya was more like a sister. They showed her a small album containing the pictures that have taken before and after their marriage, as they won't many photos, the album is something they treasure for their next generation. They told her that they were bought up in the island ever since they were born. And Mithran revealed that Das was his father and Sumaya was Das's sister's daughter. They were both cousins and got married last year. Das is a cousin to Aadhiyan's dad. That's how they are all related.
For Rathi, their relationships are hard to understand and she questioned their mothers. They just simply said that they were dead. It's hard to digest the truth but she wondered how everyone's mother is dead. Then Mithran continued his conversation by telling their life before marriage. They have been to various countries with their family members but he told Aadhiyan has never come with them and he always traveled alone. Since they can't live here the entire time, they used to come to the normal world as a vacation ever year.
As it's her first day Rathi didn't ask anything else but she wanted to know everything about them. There's a lot to learn about these people especially Aadhiyan. What he's going to do after marriage? What kind of ritual he's going to do to free themselves from the curse? And so everything. They are all devouring a mystery with them and Rathi understood if she won't become one among them they will never open up that truth to her. So she waited for the day to marry Aadhiyan.
In the night, Rathi had dinner with Sumaya and Mithran. Then headed to her room to sleep. Sitting on the bed she looked at the moon which is growing day by day. Eventually, her eyes drowsed to sleep...
"Rathi?" she heard Aadhiyan's voice.
She opened her eyes and saw that she's standing in a totally dark place. "Where are you?" she asked Aadhiyan looking around.
"I am going to tell you a truth," his voice heard above her head but he's nowhere.
"First tell me where are you?"
"No, just listen to me," he serious voice made her silent.
"You need to die to save me. So Die," his voice is intimidating and then suddenly a hand pushed her in a vigor force. She fell into the water like entity screaming 'NO'
Rathi opened her eyes from the nightmare panting heavily. It took some time to calm herself and to realize her surroundings. Everything started rolling around her, she turned her gaze when the window suddenly opened by the wind. She was taken aback when she saw a silhouette of a person standing a few meters away from the window.
Rubbing her eyes to her make vision clear, Rathi saw there's indeed a person standing and has a small white light in the hands. She closely looked at the window and the person started moving. Grabbing all her courage Rathi got down from the bed and opened the door to go outside. It's so cold outside but she wanted to follow it, yet scared thinking what it will lead to at the end.
The dark figure moved close to the ocean and she followed it in confusion until the tides hit her feet.
"Rathi!" Mithran startled her by shouting her name loudly. The figure vanished in a blink and she turned to see him.
"What you're doing here?" he asked.
"I saw... someone... here," she stuttered in shock.
"There's no one here, just come inside. You shouldn't stay outside at this time," he held hand and dragged her with him.
