"No I can't eat anything, more than this, please," Rathi said to Sumaya.
"NO no, you cannot say like that, just eat this one serving of rice," Mithran insisted and Rathi held his hand.
"Please Anna, I can't," she requested.
"Hmm," he nodded and sat beside Sumaya. They were so happy to hear about Rathi's pregnancy. On the same evening, Mithran asked Rathi to come for the dinner in their house, and he cooked all the best dishes he knows.
"Ayya do you want something?" Mithran asked when Aadhiyan was silently chewing his food.
"No, Mithra," he smiled.
"Do you like it?" Mithran questioned seeing his unhappy face.
"You know that I like your cooking," he replied and continued to eat.
Sumaya watched them with a smile, she is going to enter the ninth month of her pregnancy, anytime she will give birth to her child, and all of them were eager to welcome their child. Looking at her Rathi wondered what will happen to her after she gives birth, she wanted her to be alive and safe but will that happen? She questioned in panic. She can't even imagine something like that.
Sumaya knows about this curse or not, but she always seemed to accept her fate. She's strong and fixed that her life isn't a stable thing. But Rathi couldn't get that strength, she doesn't live a proper life like a normal human. She's been grown up for a purpose and going to die for it, that's what Rathi thinks and that's what makes her sad.
Whatever she tries she can't believe his words that he'll protect her.
The evening was serene and peaceful. Rathi came out after washing her hands, where others talking inside the house. She stood there and watched the ocean intently. There Rathi started to think of something that could change all this, she wanted to live a happy life in India with this family where nothing will try to harm them. They aren't bad people but were changed due to these circumstances.
When she's dwelled in the thoughts, she saw something standing at the far end. She squinted her eyes and tried to figure out what that is. But then her eyes widened when she concluded that's the same figure she saw before the marriage. It is floating in the air, and now Rathi clearly saw that it's a... woman silhouette. When Rathi stepped to go behind it Aadhiyan came out looking for her and the figure vanished out of her sight.
Rathi is stunned to witness it and blinked her eyes in shock.
"Rathi, come inside," he told.
"Hmm," Rathi hummed without showing what she just saw.
It's not the guardian if it is then why it vanished after seeing him; this looks strange, maybe my eyes deceiving me? she thought coming inside and saw Aadhiyan watching her.
"What did you saw?" he asked.
"Nothing," she replied.
"Really?" he upstretched his eyebrows in disbelief.
"Yes," she nodded without looking at his face.
While walking to their home Aadhiyan and Rathi were stopped by Aadhiyan's dad. He asked Aadhiyan to light the lamp at the entrance of the fort and welcomed Rathi to come inside his house.
