Chapter 24

Elsa's POV
The white wolf stepped in front of me as the black wolf stepped closer. He pushed me backwards towards a tree with a low hanging branch. I pulled myself up.
The two wolves started circling each other. A low grumble erupted from my wolf. An even louder growl came from the black wolf. All I could think of was that it could be the wolf that killed Jack. Actually I didn't care if it was the one that killed Jack, I wasn't going to let it hurt my wolf either way. I snapped off the branch above. The black wolf lurched out at my wolf. I jumped down and smashed the branch into its face just before it ripped out his throat. It howled in pain as it fell to the floor. My wolf looked at me confused and I gave him a smile. The black wolf stood up shakily and retreated back into the protection of the thick woods behind us.
"Yeah!" I shouted "You better run!"
My wolf howled with joy. I started walking home and he followed me to the fence.
"Goodbye" I whispered patting his head. His tongue lolled out of his mouth and he walked back into the woods.
"WAIT" I called out he turned around pacing back towards me.
"Stay" I said holding my hand out. I ran into the kitchen and found a raw steak in the fridge. I ran back out. He was sitting there sniffing the air. He looked at me and stood up, bouncing excitedly.
I threw him the stake and he caught it midair. "Good boy" I laughed. He ran away with the stake in his mouth. For the first time in forever I was actually smiling a genuine smile. I was really happy and then... I walked inside and reality hit me like a punch in the face. My happy mood faded back to my original dull grey mood.
"I can't do this" I said my far in my hands.
"Elsa?" I looked up to see Anna standing in front of me.
"You're not in you're room" she said with a smile. She looked at my clothes.
"Were you... Outside?"
I nodded. I needed to get out of here. Now. I could feel it happening. My body was getting colder. My hands were tingling. I shook my head and started to walk up the stairs, Anna grabbed my wrist.
"Elsa" she said "Please just... Talk to me"
"I'm sorry" I croaked. I pulled my hand out of her grip and started walking upstairs.
"Elsa! Why do you shut me out?! Why are you shutting the world out?! What are you so afraid of?!"
"Of loosing you!" I wanted to say. Instead I just kept walking I got to my room closing the door. I got out my backpack. I shoved clothes, underwear and my toothbrush into it. Then I went to the small fridge I had in my room (something Jack had talked me into) I took out a drink bottle and some chocolate. You know, the essential stuff.
