Chapter 33

Jacks POV
Everyone was silent when I finished telling them. I didn't know whether that was good or bad. Rapunzel was staring at me blankly, like she didn't understand (which didn't surprise me)
Hiccup and Eugene were smiling, and then I saw something I never thought I would.... A tear. From Astrid. It hit me hard, right in the chest. I got up and put my arm around her.
"Are you okay?" I asked her? She laughed and shrugged me off.
"I'm fine. You were dead!" she said punching me. She softened her gaze.
"And now you're not"
Hiccup put his arm around her. My eyes shifted from her to Merida. She looked... Angry.
"Are you okay?" I asked her.
"I need to talk to you" she mumbled. "Alone" I nodded and Elsa looked at me.
"As long as Elsa can come to."
"No" she said quietly. "Just you" she looked apologetically at Elsa.
We walked into the other room. Anger flared in her eyes.
"How dare you!" she growled
"What?" I asked afraid.
"Telling them! How dare you!" she repeated. "We worked so hard to keep the pack a secret!" she yelled pacing. "And you give it up just like that! Why?!"
"We? What do you mean we?" I asked slowly. "What pack?" she sighed calming down, and was about to start talking.
"Wait! Let me get Elsa she needs to hear this"
"Why?"
"She was bitten to..."

Elsa's POV
Jack stuck his head out of the room and gestured for me to come in. I gave the others a soft smile before following.
"I think you guys need to sit down" Merida told us. So we did...

"It's not just you two that change." she sighed. "There's a whole pack out there and I'm part of it."
"So it was one of you that killed me?" Jack asked angrily.
"And one of you that attacked me in the kitchen?" I asked
"No" she said shaking her head. "They were the dark pack."
"Dark pack?" I asked.
"That's our name for it anyway. We don't even know where they came from. They just showed up. The alpha has been ordering us to keep tabs on them but so far, only one of them has shifted, and the rest seem to just disappear without a trail, not even a scent. An the one that we've seen shift... it was so different" she said astonished. "It looked so easy for him."
"Him?" Jack asked. "What does he look like?"
"His skin is grey" she said with a shiver "And his eyes are black, it's unbelievable. He's the most intimidating person I've ever seen."
"What did you mean when you said it looked easier for him to change?" I asked.
"It was like he made himself do it, and you, you can't do that, you can't make yourself change, things change you"
"Do you know what makes us change?"
Jack asked.
