Chapter 38

Elsa's POV
We hurried after Merida, I was getting worried. The way she looked at Jack when he said he could remember things and the results of my blood test thing, I could feel my powers getting stronger. I pushed it back, I haven't had a problem with them so far and it wasn't starting now. We walked into the house and Fergus was sitting by the fire. "There you are" he said "I was getting worried.
"We're fine" Merida said. "But I was wondering, had there ever been one of us that could remember their human life as a wolf?" She asked.
"Well, not that I can remember. Why would you ask?"
I could feel the fear building up.
"Jack remembered me" I told him.
"I don't know how. Perhaps it's just something special, butane we should do a test to be sure."
Did that mean they'd find out about his powers? What if they found out about mine?! What if They think I'm a freak? The fear was getting stronger, my powers were getting uncontrollable. All I could think was they're going to find out. That only made me me more scared. Fergus walked over to the machine and took out my blood putting it under a microscope.
"Ahh" he said.
What did that mean?! My body started shaking, I was so scared I couldn't speak, I needed to get home, I needed Jack, I needed an escape. I scanned the room, I was stuck in here, the walls started closing in.
"What makes you change is....."
Suddenly it felt like all my bones broke at once, I screamed in pain.

Jacks POV
Fergus was about to tell us what made Elsa shift when she screamed, Snow swirled around her, I heard her moans of pain turn into whimpers and eventually a growl. The snow disappeared and there she was. A wolf as white snow with eyes as blue as ice. She bared her teeth and let out another low growl. She took a step toward me, I took a step back. Why was she doing this. Fergus jumped on her grabbing her snout.
"What are you doing!" I yelled at him.
I watched in horror as he bared his teeth at her, she let out a small whimper. Merida was holding me back.
"I'm the Alpha" he said in a low voice. Then he let her go and she ran out the door with her tail between her legs.
"Why did you do that?!" I yelled.
"She needed to know who the boss was, she was going to attack you Jack. Fear makes her change" he sighed. "And when someone changes because of fear, and they're backed into a corner and they feel there's no escape, it doesn't matter who you are, it's their instinct and if they need to... They'll kill you"
