(Jayden's POV)
I had just been at my mom's funeral yesterday. It was all so blurry. I can't believe Annie just went through that like nothing. Well im sure it wasn't nothing. She is so damaged i-i wish i could help... but I can't

(Asher's POV)

I was with Annie at the park when she got a call. She just said "ok" and "yes i will be home now".

Asher: What's wrong?
Annie: Uh- my uh- dad said i need t-to get home.
Asher: Oh ok.

She walked away and oh she looked beautiful. Im not going to deny it. I think im gettin feelings. But... why did she stutter... she looked so scared.

(Annie's POV)
My dad called me telling me to get home because he needs me to clean up the house and make him dinner. When i got home i made him dinner and called him. He slapped me on the head and yelled.

Billy: I don't like this food! Make something else!

I nodded my head and made something i know he likes. There was a lady but it's not like it's anything new. I don't think she knows that he abuses me though... that's ok. He was fine with the food i made after so i cleaned everything up and decided to go up to my room and look for apartments and a job. I saw a starbucks job application so i applied. They said they will reply shortly. I hope i get the job. I really need it. After that i got up and cleaned the house.

Billy: You stupid girl! You should have cleaned earlier!

The lady was gone already and he smashed a beer bottle on the floor. I flinched. He pinned me up against the wall slowly lifting my feet off the floor. I mentally prepared myself for what's to come. Then there was a knock.
