"Anytime now Mr.Asher, we don't have all day." Our business teacher says as he waits for Asher to answer the equation. I hear him gulp behind me and before I can think of what I'm doing I quickly write the answer which is 12 and throw the piece of paper ahead of me, towards where he is sitting.
I hear him quickly open the paper, "oh wait I remember now. Sorry my brain was taking a stroll through memory lane and slightly stumble--"
"Just say the answer." Mr.Agnus blurts out glaring at Asher. Everyone in the room chuckles as Asher blushes furiously.
"Oh uh well the answer is 21." I slap my forehead. Seriously Asher."That is incorrect, the answer is 12. Please revise your notes." Mr.Agnus says before turning back to the board. Asher turns his body and looks up at me, he blinks at the paper and then whispers, "oh....whoops." I shake my head at him and he grins before throwing the paper at me. This guy..

The long period of business is finally done, I stretch my shoulders as I wait at the wooden table outside of the uni for Shiza. I finally see her walking towards me, I scooch over taking my backpack down so she can sit.
"Salaam! Ok tell me everything." She says grinning before throwing her backpack on the ground and scooching up right up to me.
"Damn, you smell good. What is that? Lavender?" She says while leaning over and sniffing my hijab. I push her down with a glare, "walaikum asalam, sit down you turd. And it's cherry blossom so you're wrong."
She sits back and crosses her arms mumbling a pshh. I roll my eyes and grin as she turns back to me again. "Sooo??"
"So?"
"Tell me what happened! This morning you were all quiet and then rushed off to class and do you know how hard it was to not just leave class and barge into yours. Grab you by the head and demand answers?! Huh do you?"
"No. No I don't." I replied calmly.
"You little..."
"Do you want to know or what?"
"Oh yeah yeah! Speak." She says as she placing her hands under her chin, and looks up at me with a grin and wide eyes.
"Ok so uh. Well first of all I said no--" I get cut off as Shiza stands up and twirls around.
"YES YES THANK THE LORD, YESS!!" She jumps up and own while screaming more 'yes's'. I look up at her moodily before saying, "I just told you I said no, why are you saying yes?"
She looks over at me and grins before crashing me into a bone crushing hug. "YA ALLAH ROMAISA THANK YOU! YOU SAID NO!! YESSS OO LOOK THEIR ASHERS HOLD ON ILL BE RIGHT BACK!"
Before I can stop her she runs off skipping, on the way she picks up flowers and as she gets closer to Asher she starts throwing the, in top of him. He stands there dumbfounded as she keeps screaming 'yes' and throwing flowers. I meet his eyes and indicate that she's high. He nods before pushing on Shizas arms and walking away. She throws the flowers that have bundled up at him. They hit his head and he glares back at her before continuing walking.
Shiza skips back to me and sighs as she sits down. "Are you done?" I say with a tiny smirk in my face.
"Yesh. Now continue.""At first everything was fine. His brother is cool, well better than him anyways. He called my dad old man."
"I need to throw flowers on this guy." Shiza says in awe. I nod before continuing, "then my father said how we should talk in the living room, so we went with his brother companying us. I asked him the first question--"
"Which was?"
"What's your favourite color.."
Shiza starts slow clapping, "nice one, beautiful, there goes best question of the year award."
"So weird, that's exactly what Abbas said." I said grinning. I think I just found something if you know what I mean.
"Who's Abbas? I don't like that name, it sounds like a name for a turkey." Shiza grumbles as she looks at her nails, I roll me eyes with a smile.
"Anyways, that part went smoothly until he said, 'are you going to marry me?'" I say to Shiza picking at the grass piece. Her eyebrows scrunch up a bit and I continue, "I started stuttering because he just got me by surprise you know. An- and he grabbed my wrist roughly and pulled me up and then Abbas stood up and tried to stop and ya Allah Shiza it was awful!" I rush out trying to catch my breath.
She looks at me with a confused face,"and he kept saying how I look like somebody." She slowly nods and looks back at our school.
"Did you tell your parents?" Shiza asks, turning her head back to me. Out in the distance a bit farther then us, sat Asher looking through a book. "No." I whisper, turning my head away from Asher. "And don't tell your mom or Asher or anybody 'k?"
She nods slowly,"but why?"
I shrug,"well I don't think it's that important now. He's gone. And I might go to meet Abbas because he wanted to explain something to me, your going to come with me."
She nods again before starting to form a small grin, "hey he's out of your life and you can marry somebody more convenient."
I roll my eyes grinning, happy to put the weird thoughts behind us. "Oh yeah like who?"
She stands up with wiggling her eyebrows,"oh I don't know. His name must start with an 'a' though k?"
I smile confusedly, what is she on about? "Sure whatever you want." She grins and we both grab our backpacks. Class starts in a few and we sure don't want to be late.
"Salaam guys!" Asher says, running up to, he continues walking beside Shiza who's beside me.
"Walaikum asalam," I say as Shiza screeches out, "shame, were ladies not guys!"
Asher rolls his eyes while holding the door open for us, "oh really? I didn't know that!" He exclaims sarcasm dripping all over.
"Hey do you see our noses? These are small and lean, while yours is gigantic and long." I say while looking in my bag for my phone.
"My nose is marvellous!" Asher exclaims, petting his nose.
"Never said it wasn't!" I reply in a song songy voice. "Oh wait Asher watch ou--" Shiza yells from behind but she gets cut off by the sound of Asher falling into a garbage can. He lays beside the now tipped can groaning. I hold in my laughs and ask, "are you okay?"
"Yeah yeah I'm good. Stupid garbage can who put that there anyways?" He grumbles getting up. Shiza comes and stands beside me, "I tries ta warn ya. But no you just wanted to keep staring at Romaisa!"
A red tinge seeps up his neck and I'm sure my cheeks are blossoming too. I hit her arm and she shrugs. Asher gets up and says, "I'm just gonna go to class now. Bye." With that he walks off.
"Shiza! What's wrong with you, he wasn't staring at me!" I say still blushing, we make our way down the hall towards the graphic design room.
"Of course he wasn't, he was staring at the stain that's forming on your hijab." She says with a tiny smirk.
I grab my phone out and look into the camera observing my hijab when I don't find anything I slap Shiza on the arm once again as she laughs it off.
