"Please don't tell me your really gonna wear those corduroy pants." My little brother teased as he sat on my bed watching me get dressed for my last/fist day of high school.
"Yes I am, and I happen to think it's cute." I defend my clothes.
"How am I eleven and have more style than you?" He rolls his eyes and jumps off my bed walking towards my closet.
"If you insist on wearing those hideous pants, wear this shirt." He says handing me my violet tight turtle neck. "It'll show your shape." He says.
I take the shirt and try it on and the outfit actually looks good.
"Hmm who knew having a gay lil brother was beneficial." I joke.
"Everyone stupid."
"Shut up and hurry up and get dressed if you want a ride to school."
"I'm getting one regardless, but i guess I'll go get dressed." He leaves out my room.
I took out my pin curls and and put on my glasses and grabbed my backpack heading downstairs.
"Hey there's my princes." My dad greets me kissing the top of my hair, slightly messing up my curls.
"Hi daddy, where's momma?" I ask noticing my mother was absent.
"She's not feeling good this morning, I'm taking her to the doctor later today." He tells me as I grab my bowl of cereal.
"Chase, if you want a ride to school you better hurry up!" My dad yelled.
"Ugh, she's not leaving me!" He yells running down the stairs in a (might I add) cute little outfit.
"Aw chase you look so cute." I coo pulling out my phone taking a picture of him.
My dad rolls his eyes at his outfit and walks into the kitchen. Chase didn't notice it but I did. My dad still haven't gotten use to having a gay son.
"Lemme finish my cereal then we can go." I say and he agrees pouring himself some cereal also.
We finish breakfasts and I begin my drive to chase's school.
"You excited for eighth grade?" I ask nudging him while driving.
"Mhmm." He purses his lips together.
"Mhmm? No smart remark?" I question his odd response.
"Yup, just Mhmm." He says unbuckling his seatbelt and jumping out the car.
"Bye, I love you." I yell out the window and he turns back towards me with an embarrassed look.
"Sorry." I yell back and pull off.
I pull up into my high school and noticed that my parking spot that I had since sophomore year has been taken over by an Range Rover. I grow irritated and look for another spot which took ten minutes.
It felt weird knowing I'll be entering this school for the last first time. I had got my schedule during the summer so I already knew where my locker was and who it was next to. I walk towards my locker and was obnoxiously loudly greeted by my friends.
"BONNIE!" Cassie screams running to me engulfing next into a hug. I hug back confused as to why she's so happy to see me.
"Uh, hey what's wrong with her?" I ask the rest of the group.
"She's blowed." Leah answered back. I let go of Cassie and began putting my books into my locker.
"So, bon bon, there's a party at Chris house you coming?" Lathan asks. Lathan is one of my closest guy friends. We've been friends since 6th grade. He's my absolute go to.
"Umm, I don't know, we'll see what my moods like."
"So that's a no." He laughs and so does the rest of our group. I slam my locker and eye all of them.
"No it's not it's a maybe." I say.
"Anyway classes, bon we have first period together so let's go and lunch.. let's meet my JD car." Cassie says clutching onto my hand.
I look around our group and see no JD.
"Okay where is JD?" I ask, and Lathan burst into a silent laugh. Cassie and Leah slap his arm and head.
"He's not here yet, he says he doesn't have a first period." Cassie informs me and I just nod.
Me and Cassie say our goodbyes and walk to our class.
"Lathan is a asshole." She huffs.
"No he's not, he's just Lathan." I say.
"No, why would he laugh if he know what JD did to you." She argues getting heated.
"It's okay, it's not like he cheated or sum, he just said he didn't feel like we were gonna work out. I rather him do that then cheat." I say.
Yes I'm still hurt about me and JD breakup, but I respect him for being man enough and telling me straight forward rather than making me look stupid by cheating on me. Although he may not have any feelings all of my feelings for him are still there.
The first three classes were a complete drag. How is it possible I caught senioritis on the first day of school? I meet them by the lockers once again and we all head out to the parking lot to search for one of many of JDs cars.
"Anybody know what car he drive today?" Cassie asks.
"The big body, he knew it was his day to drive." Lathan says. So we began searching the parking lot for his truck. In the middle of looking for it, Lathan Pulls me into the back with him.
"Hey, I'm sorry for laughing at you this morning."
"Lathan it's cool, I know you never liked us together anyway." I say.
"No it's not that, I mean it is, but I'm sorry because I know you and I know that the feelings are still there."
"No it's not." I lie.
"Bon it's me, I know you still love him."
Our conversation was cut short with Leah yelling my name from across the parking lot. I met her over to where my supposed to be parking spot. She stood looking at the car just as confused as I was this morning.
"Bonnie why didn't you tell me someone stole your parking spot." She yells."
"Because it's not that serious." I tell her calmly.
"Yes it is, we park next to each other every year ain't no nigga finna change that."
"Chill our Leah, it's just for today." I say walking back to the group, who had finally found JD car but with no JD.
"Where's JD?" Cassie ask.
"Who cares and I don't know why we still hang out with him anyways he's a fucking dick." Leah spits.
"If I'm such a dick then don't get in my car." JD says coming up from behind us. I turn and was met with curly hair and his green eyes. It Always made me go weak.
"Hey bon." He says walking towards the car. I give him a nod and hop in the back seat.
"Nigga where were you?" Lathan asks.
"Busy, getting our shit." He whispers to Lathan." He hands him some weed and begin to pull off.
"Where we going?" JD asks pulling out of the lot.
"I was thinking Olive Garden." I say and the whole car erupts.
"Yessss, that sounds so good." Cassie moans.
"Y'all know if we go ain't no point of going back to school." Jd assures is and we all shake our heads.
"Aight, fuck it Olive Garden it is."
