as hyunjin's second birthday nears, the only thing that jaebeom can think of... is the words 'terrible twos'. yeji was a dream at the age of two, no temper tantrums insight, just a loving and very adorable toddler. but yeji was also a girl, and as much as jaebeom wants to be a forward thinking open-minded dad.... the stereotype rings true here. "why do you look like you're having a crisis?" seulgi asks, putting the finishing touches on her makeup.

"hyunjin will be two."

"i know! isn't it exciting! he's growing up so fast."

"no, babe... hyunjin will be two."

"... i don't get it."

"the terrible twos are a thing."

"oh no..." seulgi sighs, rolling her eyes.

"it's hard enough that the kid barely speaks, and when he does, it's just various forms of screaming." jaebeom explains, walking over to seulgi and wrapping his arms around her.

"i think you're freaking out over nothing."

"of course you do, he's an angel around you." jaebeom pouts, "i just don't want bratty kids."

"it's too late for that... yeji is already a brat." seulgi shrugs, leaning on her toes to kiss her husband.

"you're right..." jaebeom agrees, leaning to press more kisses against her lips, "but maybe it's not too late to save him?" seulgi just giggles in response, so jaebeom relents, "are you ready?"

"yep."

the game plan for the day is to take yeji to school, hyunjin to yerim, seulgi to her ob/gyn, and then... whatever else before jaebeom goes to work later at night. "why the sour face?" jaebeom questions as he carries yeji to class. the five year old has been pouting since he strapped her into her booster seat when they first left their apartment.

"i don't want to go to school."

"why not?" seulgi asks, holding onto hyunjin's hand as he walks around.

"i don't like school."

"since when?"

"since felix got new friends and stopped coloring with lia and i."

"aw, honey... felix can have other friends and you can too."

"but he was my friend first!" yeji cries, tears welling up in her eyes and jaebeom hugs her tight, though it's strange to him. since when did yeji care so much about felix?

"yeji, just because felix hangs out with other kids, doesn't mean you aren't friends anymore."

"really?"

"yeah! i'm sure he still thinks you're his best friend." jaebeom hugs her once more, while seulgi kisses her cheek.

"have a good day, okay?"

"okay..."

"you can always ask to color with felix and his new friends too." jaebeom tells her, "but, uh, yeji? do you still think boys are gross?"

"yes! minho catches lizards and puts them in his pocket!" she frowns, looking disgusted which is a win in jaebeom's eyes.

"good, have a great day, princess." he kisses the top of her head before setting her feet on the ground, watching her scurry off to her seat.

"seriously?" seulgi questions, narrowing her eyes.

"i'm making sure she doesn't have crushes! she's too young!" jaebeom argues, "first, it starts off with crushes and then she's going to think she can have a boyfriend, and then she'll start kissing them! the only boys she's allowed to kiss are me, hyunjin and her grandfathers."
