Emily's POV:
I wake up and Michelle's already gone. I sit up and rub my eyes, adjusting to the light. I look down and I'm wearing my kung fu panda pyjama top. Oh no. I hope Michelle didn't see me wearing this! But... I don't remember putting it on.
I walk into the bathroom to see if Michelle's maybe there, but she wasn't.
I climbed back into the bed and closed my eyes.
I knew we didn't have rehearsal today so I was in no rush to get ready.
After around 30 minutes I was drifting back off to sleep when someone knocked on the door.
I weakly shouted "Come in".
Michelle walks in with a tray of food.
"West made us all breakfast but you weren't up so I brought you it up." Michelle says, sitting on the bed.
I sit up and smile. "Thank you."
She smiles and stands up.
"No good morning kiss?" I ask.
Michelle leans over and gives me a quick peck before leaving.
She seemed... awkward. I hope I didn't make her feel like that.
I finish my breakfast and get changed before heading downstairs.
Everyone was in West's lounge, laughing.
I go and sit down beside Michelle and everyone falls silent.
"Hey." I say awkwardly.
Everyone smiles.
Riley suggests watching a movie.
Everyone agrees.
We all let Michelle choose the movie because she's the newest.
She picks "To All The Boys I've Loved Before".
All the boys, except Noah, groan but watch it anyway.
I see Amanda put her head on Noah's shoulder and I go to do the same thing with Michelle, only for her to brush me off.
I look at her in shock and she just shrugs.
It was nearing the end of the movie.
Peter and Lara Jean had just gone to separate rooms.
"Why did they not share a room?" Hunter asks.
"Well obviously one isn't attracted to the other." Replies Noah.
"So like Michelle and Emily then." Hunter laughs.
Everyone else does too.
What are they talking about? Michelle and I did share a room.
I look at Michelle. "Speak to me outside." I mouth.
She nods and follows me out to the porch.
"Did you say something to them?" I ask.
"No... I guess it's just because they saw me sleeping on the sofa." She replies.
"So that's why you weren't in the room- wait... why were you on the sofa?" I ask confused.
"Emily... don't take this the wrong way but what if someone had walked in on us cuddling? They might've told everyone. Listen... you might have come out but I'm not ready to... okay?"
"I was literally forced to come out last night... and it wasn't that big of a deal. They don't care if you're straight, bisexual, lesbian. As long as you're you."
A tear formed in my eye but I quickly wiped it away.
"I really thought we would've had something special." I continue.
"Well you thought wrong then Em. I'm sorry."
"I-it's fine. If you're not ready then you're not ready." My voice cracks as I speak because of how hard I'm holding back the tears.
"And I hope you don't mind but I put your Kung Fu Panda top on you. You were really cold." Michelle says.
"Well it's a bit embarrassing but thank you. You're missing the movie. Go back in." I say.
"Are you coming?" She asks.
"In a minute."
Michelle goes back inside and I sit alone, crying.
I thought she liked me. I guess I was wrong.
Emily's Talking Head:
I feel so stupid.
