Emily's POV:
It's been 6 long years since we lost Regionals.
The year after that we finally won Regionals and went onto Nationals.
I left after that.
I went to University and I after 2 years of doing that I became Studio Head of The Next Step.
Everyone had left by that time so it was just me, alone.
I've been doing this for a year now. It's a nice job but it gets really lonely.
I haven't dated anyone since... her.
I don't think I can after what happened. I guess I'm still a little heartbroken.
I walk out of my office and open the doors for the auditions.
The kids come rushing in and start stretching.
"Alright auditions start in 5 minutes so I want to see you bring your A-Game!" I shout.
After those 5 minutes are up I audition the kids before making my final decision.
I pin the notice board up and the kids all run to it.

"Alright A-Troupe I want to see you first thing tomorrow morning. For all of you who didn't make it, I'm sorry but maybe next year is your year!" I say to them.
As both excited and disappointed teens head out I go back to my office to deal with some paperwork.
"Hey Emily." I hear.
I lift up my head.

I swing my chair round to see if I was right.
