Peter hadn't really known what to do when Vanya published the book about the academy. He didn't know whether to be angry or to be relieved that the secrets were off his back and open to the world. He had forgiven his sister rather easily, but they may have have been because most of the stuff about him was good.
After leaving the house he had gone onto be a journalist for the New York Times. People had quickly noticed his talent for writing. He frequently had articles that were featured on the front page. He also was a model. He had modeled for many high-end magazine companies. He was used to being in the spotlight even though he sometimes had a slight distaste for it.
The only siblings that visited him were Vanya and Allison. They would stop by when they had the time but they were busy almost always. So he was alone.

Peter hadn't really expected to find Diego at the crime scene he was at for the article he was writing. There were a lot of bodies and glass was everywhere. He had already interviewed Agnes Rofa, the only witness to the crime, and she didn't have much to offer. She'd told him that a man and his son were her last customers but had left right before the shots were fired. She hadn't been in the room when the murders occurred. Peter noticed a special pattern in the bodies. He knew that it was most likely Five from the killing style.
He left the building only to see Diego being tased by a cop. He was prepared to step in but knew Diego probably had that coming. He had to stop himself from laughing as he fell on the floor. He skipped up to the detective with a kind smile.
"You must be Patch. You seem to be just as great as Diego said you were. It takes a brave person to tase Diego." Patch looked at him confused for a moment before realization set in.
"You must be Peter, the favorite brother." Peter smiled widely already liking the detective. He didn't want to know what Diego had done to piss such a nice person off. He followed alongside them as she took Diego to the car in handcuffs.
"You don't talk to my witnesses, understand?" Peter stayed quiet as she chewed him out. He smirked as they bantered back and forth like an old, married couple. She searched his coat before pulling out a walkie talkie and his mask. She made a point in confiscating his walkie talkie and putting his mask back in his pocket. She then shoved him into the back of the police car.
Peter looked at the time and decided it was time to go. "Bye Patch! Thanks for looking out for him!" He waved at her as he called a cab. On to the next adventure in the life of a boy from the Umbrella academy. At least he knew it would never be boring.
