By Friday night the case was solved. With all information being collected and the killer behind bars, the team was left to what they pleased.

Castle sat at his designated spot beside Kate's desk. A sigh left his lips as Kate capped her pen and threw it on her desk.

"Why does paper work have to best boring?"

"Why does watching you do paper work have to be so boring?"

Kate chuckled a laugh with a added grunt. She rubbed her eyes and turned to her partner.

"How about we go watch a movie? I have nothing to do and Josh is still in Africa."

Castle chocked down a grunt making it sound like a sigh. He was never a fan of Josh. He especially didn't find the matter that the man was dating the women he dreamed about.

"Ugh sure. My place or yours."

"Is Martha and Alexis home?"

"No, I've got the loft all to my self. Mother is at a play practice and Alexis is out with friends for the weekend."

"It doesn't matter to me. I have a few movies at my place. What ever you decide."

Castle thought about it for a little bit before answering.

"You know Alexis bought a new popcorn maker the other night how about we go make sure it works?"

The woman at the desk smirked. Mr. Castle was a charmer.

"Sounds great to me."

The pair stood at the same moment. Making them both eye each other with a sheeky look.

Castles smirk grew as he faked a cough, like the eight year old he is and mumbled the word 'copy cat'.

Kate stopped in her tracks and smiled, before she copied his antics with the mumbled word 'loser'. Making both adults chuckle and walk toward the door. The playful side of the two was just to much for the each of them to bare.

When the two arrived at Castles loft door, Kate was loathed with the honor of unlocking the door for castle who had his hands full of odd items for the night such as a fresh case of beer and a bag of take out Chinese food.

Kate pushed the door open when and let castle in before entering and locking the door back. Seeing he was slightly struggling to carry the food she approached him.

"Let me take that for you."

She reached out and grabbed the handle, brushing his hand in the process sending tingling chills down each of their spines.

The eye contact that came next asked the silent question neither of their mouths could. Each answered with a shudder of each other's arms.

"Uhh how about that popcorn?"

"Yea.. um yea that'd be good."

They made their way into the kitchen, around the island toward the popcorn machine.

"Flavor?"

Kate looked at castle with a confused expression making the writer chuckle.

"What flavor of popcorn do you want? there is Carmel, butter, no butter, and salted butter.

She looked to the stove to see the time.

"I'm feeling some Carmel, since its past eight I think Carmel will be best."

"Good thinking detective."

They grinned at each other before castle broke the eye contact when the popcorn started over flowing

"CASTLE! haha oh my god."

"Eh looks like we are gonna have less popcorn then I thought. Haha look at all this."

Kate was exploding with laughter, as castle scrambled to grab the broom and dust pan to try to clean up his mess.

The pair settled as soon as the mess was up. The movie was a romantic comedy that both decided upon watching.

As the popcorn bowl became empty and the movie was coming to a close, Kate was asleep and castle on the verge. The thought of waking up the detective crossed the writers mind but then pushed it back when he had the feeling she wouldn't mind.

The two where cuddled into each other in a friendly way, Kate's head on castles chest and castles head laying on Kate's head before drifting to sleep he kissed the top of her brown locks and whispered

"Goodnight Kate."
