•I'm sorry the chapter was delayed. I have been working on another book, but this one is still going to continue. Btw-just Bc I have to put this in here- I don't own castle or clam to do. 💕🐘

As the couple eased into the glass doors of the doctors office, both the writer and his muse where nervous about the up coming news. If the results came to be the stomach flu Kate would have to take off work and she couldn't just sit at home. She would have to do something. Plus the possibility of getting the rest of the loft sick, there is also the option to go back to her apartment to rest but she was certain castle wouldn't allow that.

"Hi,can I help you?"

Castle looked down the the African American nurse, her appearance showing she was in a mood, and didn't want to be bothered much today.

"Ah yea, we need a ah checkup for Katherine Beckett."

The lady nodded her head, luckily the partially crowed doctors office allowed walk-ins. She took Kate's information and pointed the couple in the direction to the waiting room, both nodding their heads as a thank you.

The two sat down in a pair of empty chairs, just across from the door. Castle saw the way the detective was looking, her constant biting of the lip and rubbing her hands together was a dead give away that she was fully nervous. He reached across the arm rest and placed his hand on her fidgeting one, instantly relaxing her tense nerves.

"Kate calm down, everything will be okay."

She nodded, signaling the writer she had faith in his words.

Time passed slowly, as all waitings in doctor offices do, castle and beckett both found different ways to obtain theirselves, Kate's resulted in her playing a kidish game on her phone while castles entertainment was watching his brunette get frustrated at the game, she would give up and lock her phone only to unlock it and restart the game seconds later.

The door to the main room swung open as the male nurse poke into the sniffling waiting room.

"Katherine Beckett?"

Kate stood up and connected her hand with Castles, she looked to the doctor telling him that she was the requested patient. Once back into the room after having her vitals checked, the doctor came into the room with the results.

"Miss Beckett. We checked your blood sample and your not pregnant like we thought-"

Kate's eyes shot wide open at the horror. "You thought I was pregnant?"

"The affects you where having where similar with pregnancy, but in this case it just a case of bad food poisoning. I'm going to put you on an antibiotic for the next two days, you will also have to stay in bed to rest for the remainder of the day."

Kate nodded at the orders and squeezed castles hand a little harder, in return the writer squeezed back. She was relieved it wasn't what was expected. Pregnancy isn't what she needs right now, yes when the time come she did plan on having kids. But they aren't even married yet she couldn't have his kid, what if they didn't work out the baby would be in the middle of all of it.

She sighed and rested her head on his shoulder as the doctor laid his paper down to sign his approval of the medicine.

The pair excited the doctors office quickly, wanting to get home for some rest as soon as possible. On the ride home Kate has been zoned, the small parts of conversation consisted on finding the food that poisoned Kate. The results ending in the Chinese food ordered a couple of nights ago, although the hundreds of other times the couple ate there nothing happened, both settled on the chef must've been having a bad night.

Castle pulled into the empty space in the loft parking lot, he killed the ignition and turned to the brunette. She was dazed as she stared out the tinted window, her hot breathe causing the cold seal to fog with ever blow.

"Kate?"

The detective slowly turned her head to face her boyfriend, her mouth didn't open her brown orbs steed blankishly at Castle.

"Are you okay?"

She nodded ever so slightly before opening the door, while reframing her eyes back to the cement under her comfortable feet. Castle looked as if he believed nothing she had responded with, he knew that there was something bothering his muse and he would go to great lengths to figure it out.
