•I'm sorry for the poor chapter. I had writers block & it's terrible. Thanks for understanding tho loves.

Kate placed the last monopoly game into the box, after successfully winning two out of three games. The writer hated loosing, as any man would, the first round was of course won by Kate. The second won by the one and only castle, and the final the adoring Kate Beckett.

"Castle you ready to go to the park?"

"Ahhhhh."

Castle was sitting on the couch with his head caressed tightly in his hand, the loss at which made him want to throw a couple of bricks at a wall, making the detective grin, knowing she was the only one in the loft able to beat the husky man.

"Stop being a sore loser, Castle, its just a game."

"You'll have to convince me its just 'a game'."

He brought his hands from his head to put quotation marks around the 'a game', making Kate take the short journey to the sofa just inches from her reach.

"Oh yea, what type of convincing."

The writer leaned into the detectives space, just inches from her face.

"Special types of convincing."

Kate leaned the distance and kissed the smirk off his lips, but didn't dare deepen in. She pulled back and gave him a small slap on the chest before standing to her full length.

"Maybe later Castle, we're going to the park."

Castle sighed but follow demands, he stood from the couch and pecked her lips before walking toward the bedroom to change from his lounging clothes.

The couple walked hand in hand down the pathway in the Central Park. The two gazed at the children playing on the swings as the cold made the beads of sweat disappear. The pair eyed a set of twins playing on the monkey bars, each taking turns helping each across the short distance.

"They're sweet aren't they?"

"Yea, I remember being alexis down here when she was about that age." he gave a pause before continuing. "I really miss those days. When Meredith decided she wanted her career more than Alexis, the park seemed to be the only place she likes to be."

Kate smiled at the innocence in his voice as she squeezed his hand, signaling him that everything will be alright.

"You know Castle, the day I met you I really though you where a hard ass. I really didn't think we'd come this far, believe me I wouldn't trade any of it for the world."

The writer paused and shifted his position to the face his brunette.

"I love you."

"And I love you Castle."

The man closed the space between them and kissed her lips light but passionate. He placed his hand upon her cheeks and carefully drew her body close to his warmth. Once the kiss broke the two shared precious eye contact that was treasured.

A loud scream sounded through out the park, although the writer and his muse seemed to be the only ones to notice, the two searched the area for the source of the blood curdling scream.

Under the swing set was a little girl, possibly around the age of six. She laid with her face buried into the dirt, a couple of older boys standing over her laughing uncontrollably.

Kate glanced at Castle before looking over the area for any sign of adults to control the outrage at the swing set the pair where familiar with, seeing no adults where acknowledging the scene. Kate made the desperate decision to take the steps toward the action.

"Hey, step away from her."

She bent her knees enough to help the oddly smaller than imagined child, to her feet. The little girl clothes where filthy with dirt, her thin 'jacket' was torn a little on the sleeve.

"Are you okay baby?"

The little girls tears filled the throat of the child instead of a reply, Kate couldn't bare the crying. She wrapped the child in her arms and looked to her partner who was staring with the worrisome expression that matched the detectives.

"What are you doing with my daughter?"

Kate looked up to see a well dressed woman charging toward them, with an look of anger pressed onto her face.

"Ma'm your daughter was pushed down, I was just helping her up."

"She don't need your help get away from her."

The little girl was grabbed away from the grip of the brunette.

"Come on Elizabeth."

The sobbing little girl wailed as she was brought up into her mothers harsh limbs. Kate looked in shock as the two walked into the center of the park, being engulfed by the children playing through out the area.

"Castle. Did... did you just see that?"

"Yea. Ah, is that even legal?"

Kate sighed before brushing her knees off, she turned to face the confused writer.

"I'm not sure."

The two shared a look before walking in the direction they came. The detective was sure to check out the child. Surly the job she worked would help her with the provided information she needed. She'd have to wait till tomorrow, but she was sure the little girl, that now had a name, would not leave her mind.
