As morning rolled around in the loft of the New York Times best seller, the couple had awoke to the sun shinning into both of their eyes. What a start for this Monday morning.

Kate rolled around as soon as the alarm clock went off, she placed a fast hand on the snooze button as she rolled back into the embrace of the snoring writer, who had appeared to be unfazed by the throbbing noise.

"Castle wake up."

"No, I'm dreaming."

The detective shot him a look, even though it was clear he wasn't looking at her.

"But you talking."

"I'm sleep talking."

Kate sighed, but complied with his words. She stood from her side of the bed and walked to the bathroom to take care of the eager call of nature, which eased the detective.

The thoughts of the woman where rudely interrupted by the righter emerging into the bathroom startling the occupied lady.

"Castle!"

"Wha?"

She gave him a look as she tried desperately to hide her body as she finished her business.

"The bathroom is being used at the moment."

"Kate it isn't like I haven't already seen your stuff."

He pointed to her as he made his way toward her, with the sheekish grin unable to be scrapped from his face.

Kate sat still, slightly unaware of what the writer was going to do next. He crept up to her side and placed his hands on her shoulders, he leaned his body down and pecked her lips.

"Good morning."

"Good morning to you too, now can you please let me finish."

He nodded before exiting the bathroom with a smirk never leaving his face.

The duo walked into the prescient both with a coffee in hand, Kate arrived at her desk and motioned for the hispanic detective to join her.

"What's up?"

"Okay, ah I need you to help me find someone.."

Esposito looked to the brunette in slight confusion but let her continue as the Irish of the detectives made his way over to them.

"I need to you find a little girl in the area with the name Elizabeth. She might be in the age group four through six."

"Beckett do you know how hard that's going to be? Do you at least know a last name?"

The woman made a face that showed the hispanic she didn't know the question.

"Can you at least give me a description."

The detective nodded as the Irish man spoke from his position.

"What's this all about?"

Kate looked to the writer then back to the questioning man.

"I saw her in the park yesterday and she was pushed down by a few boys and no one was helping her. Her clothes where rags and her mother was obviously careless."

"I can see what I can do but I'll have a sketch artist in her for you to give them her description... What do you plan to do if we do find her."

The brunette shrugged but gave a solid face to the detective before he nodded his understanding and headed for his assigned desk.

Castle looked to his girlfriend and placed his hand on her shoulder.

"Beckett, what if we do find her."

"I just want to make sure she's in a good home that's all, I just don't want her to be in a bad situation."

Castle looked to Kate with the understood expression he had kept though the whole conversation before leaning down and whispering into her ear words of encouragement.

"They'll find her Kate."

The detective was engulfed with chill bumps as the words seeped from his lips to fill the void feeling in her ears.

The day progressed gradually with no information of the little girl being found, Espo had search files at the hospital for the age group, but came up empty handed.

Kate was fuming at the results, but decided to call it a day anyway.

Castle had kissed her off in the elevator before the ground floor, after she had declared she needed the light alone.

Kate unlocked the door to her apartment to have the feeling of shock, she hadn't been to the apartment for awhile, the memory's from all the terrible things flooded her mind as she took the first steps into doorway. She sighed and began the journey to the bathroom for a good shower, then off to sleep the news of the day away.

Castle unlocked his loft door with a slight struggle. As he took the first steps into his home he was instantly pulled into a hug by his daughter.

"Dad!"

"Hey pumpkin."

"Where's Kate?"

Castle sighed and placed his hands on the young girls shoulders.

"She's had a tough day, she decided she'd stay the night at her place."

Alexis's smile turned into a slight frown at the thought of her favorite detective being alone while she was upset.

"I'm off to bed, Its getting late you should head to be soon sweetheart. Where's mother?"

"Oh she said she was going to a rehearsal and she would be back soon."

He nodded at the answer, it wasn't surprising that the elder ginger had been off to rehearsals more often now a days. She was a very successful actress at that.

"Okay goodnight love you."

"I love you too dad."

Castle kissed her head before dismissing hisself to the shower for a relaxing shower and some nice dreams hopefully consisting his beloved lover.
