•this chapter isn't going to be very creative sorry I'm kinda sick and I have been inhaling paint, from my freshly painted room, all day. I'm sorry💕
Kate woke up in a pair of strong arms. Her first thought went to Josh, but those where quickly shot down by the memory's of the past days. Opening her eyes clearly now, the detective saw her partner with a smirk wrapped around his lips. Instead of getting up, she stayed wrapped in his embrace, until the writer began to stir.
Castle felt the breath of someone on his neck, causing him to be reminded of the past events of the day before, the thought made the writer squeeze his muse tighter into his embrace.
"Goodmorning Castle."
"Good morning to you too detective."
"How'd you sleep?"
A smile appeared on Kate's face.
"Better than I have in a while."
Castles smile was wide and cheery.
"Me too."
"Want to lay here longer or get get breakfast?"
Castle looked to the lady next to him and smiled.
"I'm fine with laying here."
"Sadly I'm have no choice but to get up, I have to go back to my apartment to see if he has got his stuff out yet."
"Im coming with you."
Kate smiled, somewhere deep down she knew he would want to come with her. Just in case Josh was there and decided to struck again.
"You sure you want to?"
"Definitely."
"Can I make breakfast for you at my apartment?"
Castle looked pleased with the question.
"That sounds excellent detective."
Kate smiled brightly before sitting up fully and looking down at the man beside her. God he was gorgeous.
It was a few seconds before she realized she was day dreaming, shacking the thought out of her head she turned to see Alexis entering the bedroom.
"OH! I'm sorry, I'm was just going to tell dad I'm leaving for the day, sorry."
The red head spoke from behind the door she had closed.
"It's okay, come in."
Alexis eased the door opened, slowly looking toward the bed her father occupied with the beautiful detective Beckett.
"Don't worry alexis, we didn't do anything."
The ginger smiled at the pair as they both exclaimed their innocents.
"Okay.. i just going to go out with some friends tonight, ah you need me to pick anything up?"
"Ah, no I'm good have fun. I love you."
Alexis smiled before walking back toward the door.
"I love you too dad, bye Detective Beckett."
"Bye, Alexis."
The two where left with the awkward silence the red head created.
"So... what time do you want to go to your apartment?"
"Now if your ready?"
The writers ruggedly handsome face lit up with joy.
"You mean I can go?"
The muse laughed at him childish applaud.
"Yes, now let's go get ready. I'm starving for some coffee."
"I can fix that."
The two smiled sheepishly at each other before castle pulled Kate back into his embrace.
"Five more minutes."
Kate tensed at the interaction but quickly fell sheepishly in his arms. The smile that covered both faces was bright, nothing could be more perfect for the writer and his muse.
The duo laid in each other's embrace for almost ten solid minutes before Kate's breathing evened out, showing Castle the one in his arms was sleeping soundly once again. The man in the bed looked to the clock, only 8:56am, why not sleep until later? Kate sure wanted to, and he agreed.
Castle quickly followed in the detectives footprints, shortly falling asleep soon after making a decision.
Closely before 9:30, Kate began to wake up again, rubbing her eyes she shook out of the writers embrace only to crawl out of the covers. She stood to her full height before walking to Castles bathroom, the one her now healed foot got spranged in, she took care of the call of nature before returning into the room to be greeted by the snoring man in the room.
A smile snuck up on the brunette, but quickly disappeared when she saw the clock; 9:35. It was Monday morning and she was late for work.
"CASTLE!"
The man in bed shot up unbelievably fast and turned the the standing lady before him.
"Huh, what? Are you hurt or something?"
"I'm late for work! Ah Gates is going to be so pissed."
The writer looked awfully guilty, Kate noticed his expression and sought to south him.
"I'm sorry Kate, I should've let you get up."
"I enjoyed sleeping in, don't be sorry I just need to get to work."
Castle stood from his place on the bed and turned to the spoken of woman.
"How about you take a sick day? Does your ankle still hurt?"
Kate looked shocked for a moment.
"I can't afford to take a sick day, Castle, but it isn't sore anymore."
"Come on it's just one day, I'll can give you the money you would've earned today."
"I am not taking your money. but I will take a sick day, because I still haven't gathered the stuff I need. I have to call Gates, where is my phone?"
The pair both stood in the same place shifting their heads to examine the room.
"Just use mine."
"No, then she'll know we are together."
"So?"
"Castle, you know what they will think."
A smirk grew on the face of the man, causing the woman to smile.
"Oh, yea right."
"Let's look in the kitchen."
The pair set out in search of the missing phone. The day had started out just about perfect of the both of them, they both hoped that it only got better.
