God and the Devil AU

Lance's Pov: You know the theory about the Devil once being an Angel? We'll it's true but I'm sure that you wouldn't think that the Devil was also Gods lover... About two years ago I was supposed to take over Heaven and I had to pick someone to be my advisor, I knew who I would pick from a very young age, my best friend Keith was always so organized, he was put together and smart, he was a perfect fit but the only problem was that I was in love with him, I knew I was, I know that I still am and I knew working with him, spending almost every waking second with him was going to be so hard, a few weeks into my new position I lost it, I called him into my office and started spilling my guts about my feelings and after letting me ramble on for probably a good 30 minutes he cut me off mid sentence, he told me he felt the same and from that day forward we were official, about a month in we told everyone and they were all incredibly supportive, everything was perfect until one night when he didn't come home, I waited for him thinking he just got held up but he didn't show, the next morning I conducted a search of the whole Heaven's, he was eventually found cut up and bleeding except that, that wasn't even the worst of it, he had killed someone, I took one look at him and knew he wasn't himself, something had made him do this, for the next week all I did was defend him and protest about how he would never do something like that unless it was absolutely necessary or he was forced to do so but they didn't listen, I would go home every night and wrap my arms around his pillow, burying my face into it, I would take in the smell of him and cry about the fact that I couldn't do anything, that was roughly a year ago and I still haven't stopped thinking about him, he was kicked out of Heaven because of his crimes and I haven't seen him since, I keep tabs on him and up until the past five months there hasn't been much, I heard a few days ago that he had overthrown the ruler and became the Devil himself, I didn't believe this at first but sure enough it was true, I knew since he was now the devil I would have to talk to him due to work, we would have to converse of where each person who was undecided on where they were to end up was going to be, We've been talking to each other for months now and we've kept the fact that were still a thing on the down low but I was looking over the rules to see if there was any way for him to come back and I may have found something

(Over their work laptops)

Keith: Hey Lance

Lance: Hey handsome, I may have found a way to get you back up here!

Keith: Really! How?

Lance: It says if there was a different god at the time you were banned then when there is a new god in control they are allowed to recast you into Heaven with a fresh start

Keith: Wouldn't people hate you for it though, they think I did something terrible, I know if I thought someone killed... I wouldn't want them living in the same area as me

Lance: I don't care how mad they get, I am so madly in love with you and no one else's opinions on that matter to me! Come back home Keith, come back to me...

Keith: Lance... I'll come back, I love you more than anything and I just want to see your face again and sleep in our bed, snuggled up to you, I want to be able to kiss you and hold your hand, I miss that

Lance: Alright, pack your things, I'll tell everyone your coming back, see you soon mullet!

Keith: See you soon sharpshooter!
