Purge AU

Keith's Pov: It has only been a few hours since the Purge has started and thousands of people have already been killed, Lance and I decided to work together as a team to stay alive, we were found about an hour ago and ended up locking ourselves in a closet, every so often we hear a scream, some gunshots or yelling and footsteps, the closet is really dark and pretty cold, I keep shivering, Lance and I are sitting opposite each other, he hasn't said much since this whole thing started and it's quite worrisome to me because of how talkative he normally is, I shiver again, this time my teeth chatter, I hear Lance move and then feel him grab my hand

Lance: Your freezing Kogane!

Keith: You don't think I don't know that!

Lance: Come here *Pats ground*

Keith: You realize I can't see a thing, right?

Lance: Oh yeah, I forgot *Grabs his hand* Just scootch towards me

Keith Pov: "Okay" I replied, I'm not gonna complain he's warm

Lance: Now turn so your back is facing me *Helps Keith turn around* There, now just scootch back a bit more, perfect! *Wraps his arms around Keith* Better?

Keith: *Grins knowing Lance can't see him* Better

(A few hours later)

Keith's Pov: I open my eyes and hear light snores coming from behind me, I turn my head only for my nose to bump into Lance's, I guess we're closer than I thought, he's still so warm, I snuggle back into him a bit, he moves a little but also settles back in, he moves his head a bit so it is now in the crook of my neck, I wait a bit and Lance finally stirs

Lance: Keith? Are you awake?

Keith's Pov: I don't answer thinking that he'll want me to move or something, it goes silent for a moment and then he starts to hum softly, all of a sudden he starts to whisper some lyrics to a song, I could barely hear them but then I noticed he was directing them at me

Lance: I'm in love with you but you don't feel the same and I wasn't going to say this because I knew that things would change...

Keith: *Sits up abruptly* Lance...

Lance: *Shocked* K-Keith, h-hey buddy, did you sleep well?

Keith: Lance... Are we not gonna talk about what I just heard?

Lance: ... I don't know... Do you want to?

Keith: I mean, I would like to but it's up to you, it's your feelings...

Lance: Um... *Scratches the back of his neck nervously* I guess...

Keith: *Leans back against Lance grabbing his arms and wrapping them around him* I'm listening

Lance: So you aren't mad?

Keith: Of course I'm not! I've been your Mullet since day one

Lance: Does that mean you like me back?

Keith: Yeah, I just thought you were into Allura

Lance: I think she's pretty but I don't like her or anything

Lance's Pov: I pull Keith and I's hand up to my face and kiss the top of his hand, I hear a very faint siren and then it slowly gets louder letting us know that the Purge is officially over, "We okay!" I scream

Keith: Of course we are dimwit now let's go find the rest of the team and tell them about us *Unlocks and opens closet door*

Lance: *Standing up* Us... *Smiles* I like the sound of that

Keith: *Pulling him eagerly* Well get used to it because your never getting rid of me now *Giggles*
