I tried to catch my breath as I ran through the streets and pushed through people. I ran through a back alley and let out a gasp as I saw it was a dead end. I quickly turned and put my back against the wall as two men walked towards me.
"Please.... don't make me go back there." I begged.
They reached for me and I closed my eyes. I heard a gun go off twice and I opened my eyes to see a man with short black hair and blue eyes.
"Come with me!" He ordered as he met my eyes.
"Who are you?" I asked shocked.
"Someone who cares, I'm hear to save you. So come with me or we both die." He said as he grabbed my hand.
We ran through the streets and alleys and soon made it to an abandoned building. He pushed me inside and shut and locked the door. I watched him as he looked out the window.
"Why did you save me?" I asked softly.
"You and I are the same, both used to make weapons of mass destruction." He said softly.
I soon learned his name was Khan and like me Marcus and threatened him to make weapons. Khan had a group of people that Marcus had taken and locked up. Khan believed they were dead and Marcus was lying to get him to do his dirty work.
"So what did Marcus have on you?" Khan asked softly.
"My brother is a Star Fleet Captain.... he told me if I didn't do what he said.... he would make him and his whole ship have a accident." I said softly.
"I see.... I'm sorry." Khan said softly.
"So.... what makes you so special?" I asked as I crossed my legs over each other.
"I was genetically enhanced to be the perfect soldier, what about you? Why does Marcus want you?"
"I have a photographic memory.... I am a specialist in weapons, ships, anything you can name.... I can make better. I spent three years on vulcan, five on the Klingon home world were I disguised myself as a Klingon without anyone finding out... and I know any and all forms of defense." I said calmly.
"Impressive."
"Also I'm a expert on the guitar."
He nodded his head and I let out a laugh.
"I've never played a guitar in my life." I said as I shook my head.
He let out a chuckle and shook his head. For the next month I spent it hiding out with him. It was so easy to be around him and I felt so... alive. He didn't speak about his past that much, but what I did know was he missed it.
"I have to leave." Khan said as he set in front of me.
"And go where?" I asked as I looked at him shocked.
"I have to stop Marcus... he can't get away with this."
"Don't... don't go... we could stay here and be safe. He won't ever find us."
"(Y/n).... I'm sorry, but we can't keep hiding. You have a family that misses you."
"What if he kills you? How could I live with myself?"
"I promise.... I will return to you." He said as he turned to walk away.
"I love you!"
