Bones

I don't know how long we had been in the closet together, I only knew that neither of us could move or open the door and it was Scotty's fault.

My night wasn't suppose to be like this, no it was suppose to be me in my room sleeping, but no my idiot best friend just had to drag me to his party. Don't get me wrong I was having fun until someone said hide in go seek through the ship. Now I hadn't planned on hiding in the closer, but I had heard Scotty pass by and I quickly climbed in. The moment I made it inside I saw my crush and my boss, Leonard McCoy.

"Looks like we had the same idea." He said with a chuckle.

"Yea, I heard Scotty comin and thought I should hide in here." I said as I looked around the closet.

It wasn't a big closet and to sit down I would have to place my legs on Leonard's.

"Guess he is gone. Want to leave here and find another hiding place? A bigger one?" He asked as he stood up.

I nodded my head and stood up and turned to open the door. As my hand reached for the door nob I felt my heart stop when the handle fell off.

"Um.... what was that sound?" He asked with a frown.

"The... the door nob fell off." I said as I looked at him shocked.

"Shit, did you bring your com?"

"Scotty took it from me when I made it to the party."

"Damn it. I'm sure someone will come around here soon." He said softly.

I nodded my head and set back in the ground beside Bones. I had my knees up to my chest and my back to the opposite side of the wall from Bones. I heard him let out a sigh and then I felt him move my legs over his.

"You look uncomfortable like that." He explained.

I nodded my head and bit my lip.

"So, why did you pick a closet?" I asked softly.

"Cause it's a supply closet and barely anyone looks in here.... though now that I think about it, that was a bad idea." He said as he let out a groan.

"Who tricked you into coming?"

"Jim, Bastard used the excuse that y- that the girl I'm madly in love with was here."

"Now that's just cruel, so did she show up?"

"Yea, but aren't close. I don't think she even likes me that much." He said with a sigh.

"Her loss, you're a great guy, and an amazing doctor."

"Thanks. Means a lot comin from you, Darlin." He said with a smile.

After sitting in the quiet, he looked at me.

"So why did you come?" He asked softly.

"Well Nyota dragged me here, used my crush to get me to come."

"Really, and pray tell who is your crush?"

"You first Lover boy." I said with a laugh.

I felt my eyes go wide and a blush appear on my face when I realized what I had said.

"Sorry! I um... I didn't mean to call you that." I said as I covered my mouth.

He let out a laugh and shook his head.

"That's a first, I've been called a lot of things, but never lover boy." He said with a smile.

"Name one thing someone has called you?"

"Doctor Mcdreamy, though I don't know where it came from."

I let out a laugh and covered my mouth.

"Yea Yea it's hilarious." He said with a smile.

"That's not why I'm laughing, I'm the one who came up with that name, I was talking with Chapel and jokingly called you that.... guess someone overheard." I said as I burst out laughing.

"Well since it's from you I guess I'll take it as a compliment." He said softly.

I sent him a smile and then I leaned back against the wall.

"So, who is the girl... of you don't mind me asking." I said softly.

"She's a nurse, an extremely smart and intelligent nurse. Don't think I've ever met anyone as kind and loving as her." He said as he leaned his head against the wall and let out a sigh.

"She must be pretty amazing for the great Leonard McCoy to like her."

"She is. Hell I'd of already left if it wasn't for her being on this god forsaken death trap." He said softly.

"Have you tried telling her how you feel?" I asked softly.

"Not that easy, see every time I try to make a conversation with her, something comes up... it's almost impossible for me to tell her how I feel."

"Practice on me, pretend I'm her, say what you want to say."

"Okay, um.... I... I've been in love with you for years... since I first met you. You are so smart and so kind that it's hard for me to not love you. When I'm around you it's hard for me to think about anything. I'm sure that you could have just about any guy on this ship, and I don't expect you to like me back, but.... I wanted you to know that I love you.... I love you (Y/n)." He said softly.

"That's... that's great just use her name and you can't go wrong." I said as I sent him a small smile.

He let out a laugh and shook his head.

"I did use her name." He said as he sent me a smile.

"Wait there is another (Y/n) on the ship?"

"I'm talking about you. (Y/n), I've loved you since you walked into my sickbay and hypo Jim when he flirted with you..... I'm sure that you don't feel the same way-"

I quickly cut him off by leaning forward and pressing my lips against his in a slow and passionate kiss. He was shocked at first, but he quickly pulled me closer and deepened the kiss.

"I love you too." I whispered against his lip.

"About time." A voice said.

We pulled apart and I let out a groan as I saw Jim and Nyota smiling down at us.

"Do you two mind? We were having a moment." Bones said before he shut the door and pulled me into another kiss.
