Scotty

"Scotty! Get back here you Scottish bastard!" I yelled as I chased after him.

"You'll never catch me alive, lass!" He yelled as he ran through the ship.

"I swear if you don't stop running I'll destroy your terminal!" I yelled.

"The Captain would make you pay for it!"

"It would be worth it!" I yelled as I chased him.

"I presume Scotty is due for shots." Spock said as I ran past him and Jim.

"Scotty! Stop running or I'll force you to stay in medbay for a week!" Jim yelled.

I smiled on victory as Scotty stopped running and let out a groan.

"Captain! She is the worse nurse to have! She is so rough!" Scotty exclaimed.

"Worse nurse? Fine then get sick and die!" I snapped as I turned and walked away.

"I'll show him worse nurse, Bones if Scotty comes in make sure you wait on him." I said as I walked into the medbay.

"Again ranking officer."

"Again as you cousin I don't care. Wait on him and make his life miserable."

"What he do?"

"Worse nurse! I try to keep him alive and he thinks I'm a horrible person!"

"Oh I feel for him." Bones said with a laugh.

After a month of ignoring Scotty, I was becoming bored. The only entertainment I got was when I had to check over Scotty, normally he didn't always run. Sometimes he would stay and we would talk before taking our lunches together. Now I barely took my lunch and when I did I set alone.

"Ouch! Damn it Bones you don't have to break my hand!" Scotty exclaimed.

I held back a laugh and shook my head as I leaned against the doorframe.

"Well if you would stop acting like a baby this would be over!" Bones yelled.

"(Y/n) always uses wraps not-"

"I'm not (Y/n)!"

"Yea that's the truth! She isn't so rough!"

"Maybe next time you won't call her the worse nurse here!" Bones snapped.

"Okay so I messed up! How long is she gonna stay mad?"

"Maybe if you apologized, she wouldn't be so mad."

"She won't go near me! She ignores me and every time I try to corner her, Checkov or sometime of emergency happens! Bones you gotta help me! I want my lass back!" Scotty exclaimed.

I let out a sigh and smiled as I shocked my head, before walking into the room.

"Bones, you're needed on the bridge, I'll finish this up." I said softly.

"Thanks." Bones said as he left the room.

I removed the plastic wrap and grabbed a cloth wrap and gently started to wrap his hand.

"Lass-"

"I'm not mad anymore." I said cutting him off.

"Still I owe you-"

"You don't owe me anything Montgomery." I said not meeting his eyes.

"Lass, I'm sorry. I didn't mean what I said. You're the best nurse here, and the prettiest." He said with a small smile.

"I said I already forgave you-"

"No you haven't."

"And what makes you think that?"

"You called me Montgomery, usually it's Scotty or Scott. You never use my first name." He said softly.

"Maybe I'm still a little upset. I mean it's not everyday that my best friend says I'm a horrible nurse."

"You are horrible, when you're giving me shots. Blimey Spock and the Captain would be horrible too if they were stabbing me." He said with a chuckle.

"So I'm not the worse nurse here?"

"No, you're the best nurse, and I would go crazy without you." He said with a smile.

"How crazy?"

"I nearly got wasted alone."

"That crazy? Scotty that's a shocker!" I exclaimed playfully.

He let out a laugh and sent me a smile. He moved his hand to my face and moved a stray piece of hair away.

"Lass, have I ever told you how much I care about you?" He asked softly.

"I know I'm you're best friend, you don't gotta keep telling m-"

"I love you."

"What?"

"I love you. I have for awhile but was to scared to tell you."

"Scotty... I.. I love you too." I said as a smile spread on my face.

A smile spread across his face and before I could say anything else he placed both hands on my cheeks and pulled me into a passionate kiss.
