It was hard to deny that the air was clearer this far out. The trees were beautiful, and there was a certain sense of... purity that hung in the air that just couldn't be found in the city.
Everyone on the bus was enjoying it. Even Iida seemed to be relaxed in a comforting atmosphere, which was something everyone was glad of. No pestering Iida meant that they could chat in peace as he read whatever book he was at this time.
There was one person who didn't seem nearly as happy about it... If you need more than one guess, then there isn't much I can do to help you.
Yes, Naoko was about as far away from the group of invaders as she could manage. Sure, she could deal with them coming to her house, but it didn't take an astrophysicist to figure out that Hasame had slipped up. Naoko had already received enough side glances to know that for a fact.
And that was only one reason she was upset!
Between that, the whole idea of a summer camp, Hasame and Rei bugging her about her grades, and the horrid unsettling feeling she hadn't been able to shake since the Stain incident, she was about ready to just start unleashing her quirk on unsuspecting objects just because.
Sure, the whole, 'I feel like I'm constantly being watched' thing sucked, but that was a drop in the bucket compared to her teacher's sadism.
From the moment they got on the bus, Naoko had been able to tell that Aizawa was excited, and it wasn't a nice excitement either. She had been prepared for a good week of hell the moment she heard about this thing, and with every mile, it felt like all her fears were being confirmed.
In fact, it seemed that she was the only one to be suspicious of this arrangement, as everyone else was happily chatting about what they were excited to do if what she read from their lips was correct. Honestly, she wasn't putting too much effort into comprehending anything, as the night before had been entirely sleepless (There had been a rather intense discussion with Hasame about what had happened).
Sleep was overrated anyway.
The bus was no place for her to sleep, even if both Todoroki and Midoriya told her that she should at least try to catch a few minutes... She was too on edge, even a light sleep could result in a prematurely bad end to the trip.
Someone was probably trying to talk to her, but Naoko was oblivious to it all, her face was glued to the window and she watched the green foliage with increasing displeasure.
There was no way this trip was going to be as serene as it looked, it was gorgeous, but she was already suspicious, so the moment the bus pulled to the side of the road and opened its doors, Naoko scowled at their teacher, who was gesturing for everyone to get off.
A tug on her arm was the only reason Naoko even allowed herself to stand. She had been prepared to melt the seat just enough for her to be rooted in it after it was solidified, but she really didn't have the money to pay for repairs to a bus. Even if she did, she was a hero student... she needed to act like it.
The person tugging on her arm turned out to be Midoriya, who was chatting happily with Ochako and Iida, though Naoko was far too busy sensing vibrations to pay attention to the conversation.
She was getting much better at being able to sense vibrations in an expanded field after weeks of practice with the concept, but she was far from perfect.
As it was, she could sense a second group coming, but they could be anyone and Naoko wouldn't know... Heck, maybe it was the League of Villains popping up. That would certainly stop this summer camp from happening before it could get worse.

Silence Destroyed (MHA)
FanfictionSilence is such a weird concept; it's the absence of sound is all, and yet people have such different reactions to it, some would prefer silence over people, some go nearly insane when forced into silence, and some people have no choice but to adapt...
