After the first day, Naoko wasn't the only one praying for death. Everyone had been worked to the bone by Aizawa and Levi's 'training' Even class 1-B, who came in about halfway through the day, looked like they were dying by the time dinner rolled around.

Naoko didn't have empathy for anyone at this point, they were all in this shipwreck together, and if she was going down, she would be taking everyone down with her.

Of course, some had it worse than her. Bakahoe was stuck plunging his hands into a barrel full of boiling water which... apparently made his sweat glands expand? Naoko wasn't too sure, but the intensity of the blasts that Naoko could see even as she staggered around the opposite end of the training grounds made her think that it was probably working a bit too well.

Everyone was pushing themselves to their absolute limit, which meant that no amount of slacking would be tolerated. Not that Naoko cared. She was too busy melting small holes in the trees as she ran.

Sure, it made running all that more exhausting, but it helped Naoko keep count of how many laps she was running.

She had decided long ago that for every lap she ran, she would melt a hole in Aizawa's capture weapon. It would be revenge in the best way possible... Especially if they did end up wrapping her in Aizawa's capture weapon at night. Serves him right.

Damn it.

If she didn't know that Levi was watching her like a hawk, then she would have given up long ago and curled beneath the pines to take a quick nap.

Just because she had gotten so much better at actually exercising and not being totally out of shape did not mean that she liked running.

Make her do any other exercise and she would be happy... Running was the worst.

Gradually, the early morning light gave way to full-on noon, the hottest part of the day, and also the moment when Naoko officially gave up.

For hours, she had been trudging along, her running pace growing to be slower than her actual walking speed, but at least she tried for a while. When Chris next came to check in on her, instead of sounding like a dying raccoon, Naoko was lying in a puddle of half-melted grass and dirt, completely passed out.

Levi was all for kicking her awake and forcing her to get back into it, but Chris stopped him. Not that she wouldn't be made to work even harder when she woke up, but the girl had been up hours before the other students who were working...

Not to mention the fact that this was probably the best sleep she had been able to get recently.

The others continued their work, shooting tape off a mountain top, melting a mountain, eating a lot, passing electricity through a battery over and over, the list went on and on. Every student had a regiment tailored specifically to them, and all of them were suffering.

If allowed, Naoko probably would have slept all day, which probably would have been for the better, but Levi was far too impatient to allow that.

Unfortunately for all of them, Levi was not a patient person and before too long, Naoko was woken up with a kick to the side

Training went quickly, even though it felt like a thousand years had passed since she started. Honestly, everything went downhill when she woke up... Though that sounded fairly normal for her.

She was set on tape melting duty, standing not far from where Sero was, forced to melt his tape as he dispenced it.

There was no god that Naoko wouldn't curse as her quirk stretched the limits of her abilities. By the time the sun was fading in the sky, Naoko may not have been bleeding as she was the day before, but she certainly could feel the pressure building up. Before too long, she would have a nose bleed, and not long after that, she would be ready to die.
