It was said that no one really understood Palutena's reason for wanting to keep the light to herself and her angels. The story is different depending on who tells it, but it always follows the same basic fate.

The goddess of light was locked away using the last of Hades' power and existence stopping her from taking the world's light. Palutena, although locked away to keep the world of humans safe, was freed by an angel who had no goddess to turn to nor family to speak of. This angel, although flightless and destined to die, defied his destiny in order to save the goddess who gave him the family he sought.

He knew not of Palutena's reason for being imprisoned, but answered her call for help for his soul was pure. He knew of no wrongs and had kept himself sheltered from the evils of the world he lived in. He'd kept away from the forces of Medusa, the one that Hades entrusted the fate of humanity in, and had no idea that he was aiding in the destruction of human life by freeing the goddess of light.

Being the somewhat goodhearted goddess that she was, Palutena kept things this way making sure that this angel never learned the truth. He was sheltered as Palutena's own son and was never exposed to the darkness or shown the evil that occured in the world. That angel, Pit, was very well known to everyone other than himself as Palutena's one and only weakness.

The story may end here, but there is more to be known about the current situation. On the other side of this struggle was Medusa who had lost her allies in the battle to seal Palutena away the first time. The goddess of light could not be defeated by the goddess of darkness.

Medusa commanded the forces of darkness keeping balance between the light and dark of the world. She felt an obligation to do so in order to repent from her act of wrong against humanity long ago.

She herself held a legion of angels on her side, all of them strictly devoted to serving except one. This particular angel held a will stronger than any other and was easily Medusa's greatest warrior, but she did not take orders and faught her own way. She believed that the side of darkness was neither good nor was the side of light bad. In fact, she wished that she could stay seperate from the affairs of the two sides.

This angel, however, did believed that the angels under Palutena's domain were being decieved and wanted to free them all rather than fight them. Of course not many shared this view, but no one cared to say anything to her about it for fear of being on her bad side. She was the most powerful angel out of them all, so they feared what she might do despite her usually chill persona.

This angel, (y/n), is a major part of our story, the story of an angel fighting on the side of darkness for humanity's and Skyworld's sakes. Everything rests in the hands of the two angels of opposing worlds, but along with this not so obvious fate, they have their own problems to deal with.
