"Wow. No meat?" You looked at your food tray on your lap. Stir-fry vegetable, kim-chi, egg drop soup, seaweed, rice, mixed fresh fruit salad, and a glass of water.
Oh well. I'm starving. You thought and ate everything.
The rope was no longer tied to your ankle so you can now snoop around. You looked outside the window but you can't really see anything.
Is that a garden? It might be a white building full of crazy people. Hmm... Why is the window so dirty? This must be a very old building!
What should I do now? You walked around the room back and forth.
They don't even put a clock in here. You walked to the door and tried to open it. Of course it locked. You sighed.
There was a new set of uniform in the bathroom so you showered and get changed.
There was a click sound. You peeked out of the bathroom and saw a woman in her 50s getting the food tray next to your bed. Oh! She left the door ajar. Should I go out?
Hmm... Yup. You walked out and at the same time, the woman turned around with the tray.
"Oh! What are you doing?" She exclaimed.
You paused.
" A...ha ha... I saw that the door is ajar so I was about to close it for you." Maybe next time. I have to learn more about this place first before wandering around in an... asylum. You thought.
Luckily, you were able to befriend the woman. Her name was Mrs. Kaia.
"Mrs. Kaia, do you know why I can't go outside?" You asked.
"Of course. It's because it is dangerous outside. That's all I can tell you." She also gave you two egg bagel sandwiches and two apples. She said it will be your lunch and dinner and she left.
When the sun started to set, a guy with green hair came inside your room. He was going to give you a shot in the arm. His name tag said Min Yoongi, Staff.
"Will that hurt? I mean will I start having headache and feel nauseous again?" You asked. You really don't want to take the shot.
"Maybe. They are not giving you IV drip so I think your body is tolerant now." Yoongi said.
"Okay..." You said with a relief.
"It means you will probably get a different treatment." He said without looking at you.
A week had passed and it was the same everyday. You haven't eaten any meat. Mrs. Kaia was friendly but she wouldn't speak anything related to the hospital. There were no side affects from the shots too.
Then you woke up in the middle of the night because of a whisper.
"Y/n."
"Y/n."
"Y/n, the door is opened." The whisper is beside your ear now.
You popped your eyes open. There a was blue light floating in front of you and it flew out the door.
This is scary! Was that a ghost? No way you are going to follow that in the dark. You covered yourself with your blanket.
The next morning, you asked Mrs. Kaia about the light.
"You've seen what?" She looked terrified and ran out the room.
Maybe it was really a ghost. You walked out of the room and found the white hallway you've passed before. There was another path to the right that leaded to a staircase. You turned right. You read "3rd floor" on the wall and went downstairs. You saw a hallway with a lot of rooms. You went down again. This floor looked exactly like the 2nd floor but there was an exit to outside.
You ran to the exit but paused at the door. Wait how do I get out? Won't an alarm go off? Seriously?! You pushed the door open and the alarm went off.
Oh no oh no. What have I done? While you were thinking, a freezing cold air hit you.
What the? Snow? You ran barefoot along the building and hid behind waste bins. The waste bins were big enough to shield you from the wind but the air was still too cold.
I've got no shoes on! Why did I ran out with no plans? No food too. I should have grab the sandwiches with me. It must be around December now. How did I forget? You thought. Then you remembered what made you forget. You've looked out the window many times and it didn't looked like winter. Why did I not suspect this?!
You looked into the field. You ran here because if you run out in the open they would have seen you and caught you right away. So you ran here hoping to find something to hide in.
Then you saw patients running into the fields. OH. MY. GOD. Rushing after them were hospital staffs holding something like police batons but they flashed electricity. OH. HELL. NO. I DON'T CARE ANYMORE.
You ran out too but away from those people. When was the last time I ran? Oh. It was high school and I never like running.
You ran as fast and as far as you could. 2 laps? 4 laps? That's right I did it before. I can do this!
Your face, your hands, and your feet were numb from the cold. Actually your entire body was numb. You were pushing yourself to keep running. You looked back and saw someone riding a motorcycle after you. The person was wearing all black and the face was covered but you know that green hair. It was Yoongi.
Are they going to do something to me because I run away? No right? Because I'm a patient. They should give treatment to help me get better not hurt me. You thought. Your throat hurt from breathing cold air and you couldn't feel your body anymore. So you just let yourself drop into the snow.
At least I tried to get away.
But why... did I run away?
You saw blue lights again far in the woods then you lost your consciousness.
