Jelly

"Can I eat your jelly?" You asked Jin as you put a piece of gummy worm into your mouth.

He looked shocked as he watched you start chewing.

"Am I your friend or something?" He asked.

"Yes." You replied while taking the whole package of gummy worms from his table and ate more.

"I was being sarcastic." He said snatching the package away from you.

"There's no tests next week." He said.

"Oh! Why?" You asked and continued chewing.

"A journalist will be visiting the hospital and I'm assigned to be the guide." He said.

"The entire week?" You asked.

"Yes." He said.

He walked you to your room and left.

Some time has passed. You were standing next to the window and listening to the wind.

A snowstorm? That's a strong wind. You thought as you wiped the window but you still couldn't see anything, as usual.

The door opened and Yoongi came inside pushing a medical cart. You saw him holding a small bottle of green liquid.

"That's not IC3." You said.

"Oh. So you know." He said.

"What is it?" You asked but he ignored you.

"I'm not having that inside me if you don't explain." You told him.

"It's a new vaccine? From Dr. Kim?" He said holding the injection needle.

"It's ICC4. It makes you loose your feeling to feel hot and cold." He continued because you kept moving away from him.

"Look. I just wasted my energy trying to give a shot to this one patient before you. He was tied to the bed but he kept struggling and I broke like 4 needles. So please make this one easy for me. I just wanna go back to sleep." He said.

You had no choice anyway so you showed him your arm. Both of your arms were full of red dots from frequent injections.

When the night came, you woke up sweating so much that you made the bed sheet all wet.

The air seems to be too cold? But I'm sweating. Is it too hot? But I can feel heat on my skin. You thought. Your body felt heavy as you got up to turn on the lights so you sat next to a wall.

I don't have the strength to grip my hands. I'm about to fall. You thought.

In that second, Yoongi rushed into the room and caught you before you fell to the floor. He lifted you onto an emergency bed. You saw Dr. Kim there too. He was putting an oxygen mask onto you face while Yoongi pushed you into the hallway.

This is the lab they do experiments on plants. You thought.

You were now inside a glass room with many medical equipment. Yoongi was strapping you to the bed and there were two other nurses taping wires all over your body. You stared at the ceiling listening to sounds of medical machines beeping. Your skin was burning and that was all you remembered.

Then you woke up hearing the beeping sound from a machine that was monitoring your heart.

Dr. Kim was sitting next to you with his legs crossed. His eyebrows knitted together in concentration as he read his folder and he was biting his lower lip.

He's thinking hard. You thought.

He looked up and met your eyes.

"Y/n. You gained your consciousness." He said to you.

"Yoongi..." Your voice trialed off from feeling weak.

"Yes. I told him to give you a new vaccine." He said.

"You were showing a strong vaccine allergy. But you shouldn't have... with the meals I gave you." He said and went back to look at his folder again.

"Jelly?" You said your thought out loud.

But it's just sugar and gelatin. You thought again.

"Jelly?" He asked with a confused face.

"Maybe... Jin's jelly..." You said.

He got up and left the room.

You wanted to explain more but you couldn't speak fast.

It was just jelly. I hope I didn't bring any trouble to Jin. You thought.
