You dug your nails into the man's leg, watching terror on his face.

Why is he so scared when I am not scared at all?

You felt like your fear was taken out. Nearby neighbors started to be aware of his loud yelps and murmurs in your head peaked. Your ears rang and he was able to get out of your grasp. But, he was a drunk man and he kicked you instead of running away. Because he hurt you, you had to hurt him back. You scratched his legs, pulled him down, and lifted your hand up to claw his face.

???

A hand stopped you from hurting him. The man scurried off yelling that he saw monsters and you turned around to see that there was only sparkles of light left, almost all disappearing.

"Taehyung!" Your senses were back to normal now and you followed the little sparkles of lights.

Ah! I have to get the roses, too.

You heard police sirens and people gathering outside the house. You've got blood all over your clothes and your nails weren't back to normal yet. You wouldn't be able to explain what happened to the police. A police officer announced people to make way, so he could park and you ran to get the roses in the kitchen.

No.. Where did they go?

You checked every room, but couldn't find them anywhere. The police officer called for back up and you ran out the back door that was in the kitchen.

Then, a figure surprised you.

It was Mr. Morris.

"I know a place that you can hide." He said and you had no choice, but to follow him.

You didn't talk to him at all as you walked on a street. You also kept a big distance between you and him, scared that you would go out of control again.

"You go from here. Only walk straight and you will find a small hut. Do not turn. If you turn even once, you won't find it and you will have to start from here again." He told you.

"Um. Um.." You hesitated to speak to him.

"Mary, she passed away 2 years ago. Perhaps she was like you. We didn't have any children together, but she never fail to bring me joy. I met her in this forest while hunting birds and gave her a name because she didn't have one." He said and rushed you to enter the forest.

You thanked him for the third time on your birthday.

Mr. Morris had been living in one place since he was 18 years old. He built his house for his wife himself. His house was the first and the oldest house in the neighborhood. It made sense if he would believe in mythical creature.

Ah! What?! What? Oh, a tree. Don't turn. Not turning. Uh..

You tried to maintain a straight line as you walk.

Water?

You sniffed the air and came out of the forest. Full moon was up above a small lake, surrounded by trees. There was a hut and you could see glowing jars on a dock.

Fireflies.

Two or three specks of light floated out of the jars as you walked nearer and all of them flew out. You thought they went away because of you and sat on the deck.
