The Past

"...near... I... feel... you're..."

???

You heard words in the lady of the lake's cry.

"Sister, I knew you would come back."

A chill ran up your spine and Tae came into the bedroom, carrying a wooden chest. You watched him sorted papers on the carpet. 

Three piles of papers. Scribbles, sketches, and notes in foreign language. 

"I think my mother sealed your power, but I... broke it." He said, showing you the sketches.

"I... don't understand. I can't read..." You replied, shaking your head.

"I think these are my mother's notes. She wrote down that her maids found a new fairy in the castle's basement. She guessed the fairy was born from the fountain of purity. It seemed like she was trying to teach the fairy how to control her power." He explained.

"Was it.. successful? Did she.. Did I learn it? How.. Why was I there?" You couldn't connect new information to the past you knew.

"I don't know. Here, she was talking-" He was gonna explain more, but you cut him.

"What power do I have? I need to control them. I will need to learn to control. I don't want to hurt-" You stopped talking because you heard the lady of the lake talking again.

"Sister, I can help you. You just have to come find me. Come to the lake. I'm here in the-" 

Taehyung snapped his fingers and your attention was back on him.

"You understand what she's saying now, don't you?" He asked and you told him that she called you sister. Tae thought it had nothing to do with you and the lady of the lake was just trying to lure you into the lake. But you thought there was a possibility of you being related to her because of what you felt at the lake.

"I want to go to the basement." You told Tae.

Your body was stronger now and you walked with Tae to the basement. Tae had one arm behind your back, not to help you walk, but to hold your wings up and not letting them be dragged on the marble floor.

"Sorry. They're really heavy. I always thought it would be nice to have wings and fly, but..." You tried to lift your wings up as you walked.

"For you... it will take some getting used to." He replied.

"I'm also afraid of height." You said, laughing sheepishly and then the two of you were standing in front a medieval door. It opened on its own and Tae walked down the stairs ahead of you.

"All of your memories are here. Beware what you will recover." You heard the voice again and hesitated to walk down.

Hm?

"It sounds different?" You wondered aloud.

"What's different?" Tae asked.

"I heard her voice again. But... it's not her voice?" You answered and stepped down the stairs.

When you saw the fountain, you saw a woman appeared near it. You grasped Tae's shirt out of surprise, making him stopped walking.

"There's a woman there." You said, but he doesn't seem to understand you.

"You don't see her? She's right there." You tugged on his shirt, telling him to step back.
