Seungmin didn't sleep well last night because his brain was too occupied overthinking something he wasn't planning on doing for another week
He groaned as he turned his alarm off and reached for his phone to text Hyunjin
Seungmin:
Hey can you get me a coffee
Instead today?
Hyunjin:
Of course Minnie! Did you not
Sleep well?
Seungmin:
Not really, I had a lot
Of homework
Hyunjin:
You should have let me help you
Yesterday. I'll see you soon
At school ❤️
Seungmin:
Okie, thank you!
Seungmin lazily got ready for school, throwing on an oversized hoodie and some jeans because he didn't care at this point, he quickly tried to fix his hair but ended up just giving up,( it still looked adorable though)
He ate breakfast then left for school and when he got there he went straight to the library and waited for Hyunjin to arrive
Hyunjin came in a few minutes later with a coffee cup and handed it to Seungmin
"Good morning" Hyunjin said cheerfully to him, happy that they were back to hanging out at the library in the mornings. They only didn't meet for a day but Hyunjin missed it
"Hi" Seungmin responded as he grabbed the coffee cup and took a sip of the pitch-black liquid inside of the cup and his facial expression changed to shocked due to the amount of caffeine in whatever Hyunjin got for him
"Hyunjin, what the heck is this? Straight up shots of expresso?" Seungmin asked him
"I don't know what it is, I asked the barista to just give me something that will help wake someone up and he gave me that. His name was Jaemin I think?"
"This will do more than wake someone up. Is this even safe to drink?"
"Apparently" Hyunjin shrugged as he took the cup from Seungmin and took a sip of the drink, making a disgusted facial expression "that's gross"
"Oh well, it will wake me up so might as well drink it to get through the day" Seungmin said as he took another sip
"Minnie take a nap before class starts"
"No"
"Why not?"
"I feel bad for not hanging out with you much yesterday" Seungmin explained
"Aww you should sleep though, I'm fine"
"No, we only have like 10 minutes till the bell rings anyways"
"Can you hang out after school today?"
Seungmin took a minute to think before he answers, what is Hyunjin tries to ask him to be his boyfriend? But he also didn't want to ditch him again...if he starts to ask a question run out of the house with no explanation he thought to himself and nodded as he remembered his best friends advice
"Sure" Seungmin smiled at him
"Will you-"
"Oops the bell is about to ring I better go so I will see you later" Seungmin cut him off and quickly walked away after giving Hyunjin a quick kiss
Although it would have been a really weird time and place for Hyunjin to ask him out he wasn't taking any chances
Hyunjin looked confused by Seungmin's actions, they still had 5 minutes and he just wanted to ask him if he would help him Study later
The same thing happened at lunch when Hyunjin tried to ask him again but Seungmin got up saying that he needed to go to the bathroom and ran away
Then Hyunjin realized...
"Did you guys tell him that I was gonna ask him?" He asked and they all said no except for Jeongin
"Jeongin?" He said as the younger stopped talking to his friend and looked at Hyunjin
"Be patient, I have reasons"
"He's probably just nervous, that's super cute" maybe I should ask him today he thought the last part to himself as he smiled
Soon lunch ended and eventually, school did too and it was time for Hyunjin and Seungmin to hang out
