Usually I despise when authors start their books with author’s notes but I feel this is important. A lot of the events that are included in the background chapters are real events, this stuff has actually happened and you will be taken back by some of these things. Now some of the names have been changed for confidentiality or I have received permission to use them. The first ten or so chapters will be past events leading up to the story and yes you should read them to understand the story. Having said that there will be flashbacks here and there and this story may be trigger to some. If you have a problem with self harm or sexual content please do not read this story. I do not promote self harm as a solution but I understand at the same time. You are not alone because I am here. I do not own the songs used in this book and I do not own Black veil Brides. I will try to update weekly and I would suggest that you listen to the songs that are listed because they will more than likely relate to that chapter if they are included.
