Chapter 3

"I said 10, Yami you Baka! Not 11:30" Killua looked at me, clearly pissed off. "I guess punctuality still isn't you're strength" he turned around, running off into the nearby forest. I ran after, quickly catching up with him.
Wow, his strength and speed really increased. Dad must've put him through a lot. I sorry I left Killua. I'm truly sorry...

"Gomenasai" I yawned.
"I saw you Training last night. Was it because you're nervous about the hunter exam? Don't worry about it, I know you can do it!" Killua asked, smiling brightly, his eyes filled with joy. I really did miss him. He was right. I stayed up late last night. But not because I was nervous. I wanted to surpass Illumi. Illumi improved so much. I need to be better. Stronger...

"Whatever" I said, picking up in speed. "Come' on lets make up for the time we missed" I said getting even faster, running through the trees. If I stretch out my arms towards the back, ill be faster than their bullets... (A/N) You see what I did there :)

"The time YOU missed. I was there on time" Killua shook his head, running beside me.

After 3 hours we finally reached the Airship which would take us to the small island. It was where we would be lead to the hunter exam, at least that's what Killua said.

I was surprised he could keep up with me the first two hours. He sure is stronger than I was at his age. But after 2 hours, I offered for him to jump on my back. Of course he refused, but I insisted on it, and he knows he won't win an argument with me. As we arrived he crawled of my back, looking at the huge ship we would be traveling with. His eyes widened as we went on board, and lifted up into the air, flying high above the sky. The clouds drifting by, wrapping their soft arms around us.

The time passed by, and I just sat there, watching the sky change colors, the sun leaving an explosion of hues. My head was filled with thoughts. Hunter...that sounds so much better. Assassin just doesn't have this ring to it. I kill people with passion. I kill the people I want to kill. Not because some dude offers me lots of money. I want to be strong. No. That's wrong. I want to be strongest. Fight the most powerful people. Fight them for my life. And then proceed to kill them. Slowly...painfully. See them suffer.
A smile made itself onto my lips...I guess I never lost my dark, cold heart. It's only Killua. He just make me weak. Luckily he's the only one. At least that's what I thought.

"Yo Yami, I checked our room out. I'm sleeping top. You're bottom. I giggled. Fits perfectly. I do hate to admit it tho. "Fine by me", I checked the time. "Kill, its getting rather late. Go to bed early, alright? We have to pass our exams tomorrow." I smiled and stood up from the spot I sat on for the past 7 hours. "You ma Mom now?" He asked, but smiled at me and walked away. I went inside, and got something to eat. Walking around the ship, I looked around, still lost in my thoughts. I only waited for it to get dark. Pitch dark. An hour later I went and checked on Killua. He was sleeping peacefully, lost in his dreams. Luckily he doesn't scream at night. He really got a lot better. I'm glad.

I closed the door quietly, tip toeing away from our room. Hiding my presence, I went into the storage room. There was a big sign on the door reading "No entry." I pushed the door open, ensuring for it to make no sound and climbed up the latter leading outside. Luckily I was very educated on how airships worked, and knew there was always and exit to the outside. I climbed up the bars, elegantly, and unscrewed the hatch. I crawled over the roof into the night. Laying on my back, I looked up into the clear sky, filled with millions of tiny, bright stars, all smiling down on me. I heard small raindrops fall onto the cotton like surface, making a light, rhythmic tapping sound, like little bells ringing on Christmas Eve. Ice cold drops ran down my skin, making me shivers lightly. Unlike my nickname suggests, I loved the rain. The smell it has, the sound of it splashing onto the ground. The emotions it awakes in me. I loved them. I felt safe, laying under the stars in the darkness, watching the sky cry onto me. My eyes followed the few birds fly above me. I was trained to being able to breath with lack of oxygen, so I didn't mind the thin air I was breathing.
