Chapter 1
It was night. My time to shine. As I was walking over the roof of my fellow victims house, certain thoughts started to cross my mind.
It's been years, since our last encounter, I guess he'll be rather surprised to see me again.

A cold breeze blew against my bare hands, causing me to shiver slightly. Shit, I'm still not used to this weather. Staying out of town for a longer period of time sure is noticeable. With an elegant and complete silent flip I jumped down onto the balcony. My movements were cat like, or so I was told, as I climbed along the gutter, again not making a single sound.
„Leave the upper window in the dining room of the 5th floor open until 11:30 pm. If you refuse, you're master isn't the only one having to beg for his life." The conversation replayed itself in my head.

Oh that poor butler...he wasn't actually thinking I would spare his life if he'd assist my entry, I mean I'm part of the Zoldyck family, what did he expect. I grinned at the thought of his shocked look, begging me for his life, and mumbling shit about a certain "deal" we had. I entered the window, and checked the time, 11:28 pm. Right on time, huh. I looked through the large room, spotting not as single difference to when I first was here 5 years ago. The bosses room was located on the 6th floor, without any windows and only one door. I released a small amount of aura for a split of a second, before I hid my presence once again. If the guards aren't aware of my presence now, they're even weaker than I'd expected. I left my trademark (a rather expensive looking envelope with a big "Z" in the middle) on the counter, and smiled as I sensed foot steps running in my direction. There are 8 of them, all highly armed. Ages 28-37, All men. I sat myself down on the big red chair at the end of the long dining table, must be their bosses seat, and waited.

Seconds after, all 8 men stormed in, panicky looking around. I stood up and revealed my presence, seeing their eyes staring in my direction, filled with fear and terror. Most froze, as the moonlight revealed my identity, only a few attempted to reach out for their guns. To late, I thought and laughed as I cut them all to pieces within a split of a second, my movements still not making a sound. Their body's collapsed onto the wooden floor, filling the tiles with a bright red colored liquid, leaving the smell of fresh blood. I looked at my clothes, and found a hair, stuck onto it like a filthy little germ. I picked it up with contempt, and flicked it away, watching it sail down through the air, gently swinging from side to side. While slowly stepping over the bodies, cleaning my knife with a soft textured cloth, watching each white thread getting soaked in red leaving staines. I walked through the opened door, and entered a dark long corridor. The steps came from the right so I went on and turned that way, finding the stairs leading upstairs only a few meters further.

Two men are upstairs. They seem stronger then the ones before... I looked up. A huge chandelier was hanging from the sealing, each of the diamonds reflecting the tiny amount of light given of from the upper floor into all directions. I shook my head. Who would hang something like this into their hall, knowing its made of fake diamonds? He's such a peasant.

I walked up the stairs, releasing more and more aura with each step. The moment I reached the top, I picked up in speed, running towards the guards standing in front the only room on this floor. I looked into their eyes, as everything played off in slo-mo. Me striking my knife into their bodies, their faces of pain and fear as their eyes turned blank, and their soul escaping their bodies. Both were dead in an instant, and collapsed onto the ground, leaving a puddle of blood. I looked down onto my shoes in disgust, seeing the thick liquids spread itself along the hall, engulfing my feet. God, what a pain in the ass. I walked towards the door, watching my footsteps leave marks of blood on the floor. These guys sure were stronger than I thought...

I faced the main door, and knocked, fully revealing my presence. To the "James, is that you?" I only answered with a quite, but still hearable "m...e...o...w" as I swung open the door. The room in walked in was filled with candlelight, and the floor was covered in a white, spotless carpet. Right in the middle was a majestic bed, on which he sat, the man of whom I had taken everything he possessed. As I walked in, my shoes left big red stains on the carpet, tracing each and everyone of my footsteps. "Long Time no see, huh?" I said, smiling at him, as I was cleaning of my knife once more. "N-no. This isn't possible, h-how did you-"
The look in his eyes, the fear of what might happen next, the tension of his body, ensuring him not to move a single muscle, the heavy and uneven breathing...oh how much I've missed this. It's sure been long...

" You couldn't have...how-?" He stuttered, slowly moving away from me as I got closer. "Shut you're filthy little mouth. You're not the one to talk here." I moved closer to him, now climbing onto his bed with all fours, moving slowly, but elegant.
"N-no! Please don't, spare my life, please, cat, I'm begging you!!!" He begged, as his eyes started tearing up. What a disgusting creature. "Oh, what's that? Seems like you still remember my name, it's been 5 years after all."

Cat. I got my name from my silent and elegant movements when I first started, and from the habit of entering through the roof. Well, I guess my name also lead to it. The kanji my name was spelled with meant darkness. I liked it, so I started to dress all black, ensuring no dirt or blood to filth my clothes, and wearing bright yellow contact lenses. Now, no one even remembers my real name, all they go by is cat. Meowing, scratching the doors or rolling a cotton ball through the room are my normal announcement signs, and the signal for my opponent to face death within the next seconds.

"How could I not?? You took everything from me! My money, my house, my wife and even my daughter."
His eyes started watering and he started crying like a little kid who's lost its favorite toy. I started laughing.
You're so pathetic.
"You destroyed me. Why are you even here, and how did you get past all these guards? They were all professional hunters, on whom I've spend my very last yen."
Hunters huh? I've heard that term a couple of times before, they sure seem...interesting.

"I dont own anything anymore. Tell me, who hired you and what the hell is it that you want from me?" He asked, still shaking in fear.

"I dont want you're money or you're house this time. You get to keep all that." I chuckled, now directly in front of him.

"Then what do you want? I swear I'll give you anything!"

Now that I was close to his face, seeing his teeth clatter in fear and his tears running down his cheeks, made me feel even happier, and turned my grin into a big smile. Slowly I moved towards his ear, and whispered. "Your...life" and then proceeded to slit his throat, leaving the frightened expression of his stare on his ice cold face.

I crawled of the bed, and made my way out of the house, through the roof, obviously. I cleaned of my soles on the white carped, which well, wasn't as white anymore. With an emotionless face, I left the house through the front door, walking into the dark cold night.
