Chapter 13

In front the both of us, there was a monitor. Not one of those tiny ones, no, a rather large one. It had no buttons on it. Just a flat white screen with the numbers from 1-15 written on it in a vibrant green. On the top, there was a single instruction for us, written in black letters: >>Chose a random number from 1-15, and then tap the "Tough Luck" button in blue at the right end of the screen.<<

Hisoka looked at me, smiled swiftly, and then said: "How about we take the number 6?" I just nodded in response, placed my finger on the green "6" and tapped the "Tough Luck" button without hesitation. He just raised an eyebrow at the appearing sign, read it, and then smiled. "Looks like you're stuck with me for a while" I gave him a confused look, before reading the sign myself:

>>You chose: THE TEAMWORK PATH. Please continue going through the door to your right.<<

What door?
I turned, and looked at the now smoothly opening white door, which was embedded in the wall. That's why I didn't see it as I came in.
I guess there were 15 different paths, of which one was randomly assigned to us.

"Teamwork huh?", I just replied, before taking the lead and exiting the blank room. Lets not show him how exited I am to be with him just jet, I thought, and smiled.

We soon reached the first, umm, may I say, "station" of where we approached another one of those monitors. This time, there was no "Tough Luck" button, but just a simple instruction: >> Part ways. One goes left, the other right.<<

That was it?

I decided to take the right path branching of of the main one, before I hesitated. Wasn't this the teamwork path? Why would we part...

"Hey Hisoka? Shouldn't we go together?" I now asked. He stared at me, looking confused for a moment, but then whispered "Oh right. Teamwork." More to himself than to me. "Yeah, great observation Yami! I knew you were the best to be stuck 72h with *wink*" I felt a slight burn on my cheeks, why does he always have to keep winking. Its embarrassing...

"Left or Right?" I asked him, this time offering him to choose. "Hmmm~" he thought out loud. Then, his eyes sparkling slightly, as he happily announced "Left!", and turned to lead the way. I smiled at him as he passed me so close, that our hands were touching...just a bit. Instinctively I pulled away as he took mine into his, and pulled me with him all of a sudden. He turned, looking less happy then before, "Sorry, I should've asked." He mumbled, while looking at the ground. His eyes stopped sparkling...

My body more or less took over as I ran towards him, standing on my tippy toes, and closed by eyes. Slowly, I bend up, entangled my fingers in bis hair, and slowly kissed him. Softly, our lips touched. There was no desperate lust behind this, like last time. Just a pure gesture of, well yeah, love. I blushed, pulled away, and opened my eyes. In front of me appeared a confused and totally zoned out Hisoka. Wow, I really caught him of guard there...

Before he could say anything, I turned away and grabbed his hand. Entangling or fingers, I lead the way into the left path. He stumbled after me for a few seconds, before coming back to real life, and grabbing my hand tighter. We walked along the path, which was narrow and dark, just as the one I previously entered, without speaking a word. My head was overthinking the move I just did, worrying about all sorts of stuff, and Hisoka...well he didn't really say anything, but I promise you, his face told me all there was to say. He had this satisfied and overall happy grin on his face, which just made me get annoyed at him. But before I was able to say a word about it, I sensed a small breeze blowing in our direction. Hisoka apparently did too, since he thought out loud just a second later, "Oh, a soft breeze. It appears that we are near an opening to the outside." "Mhm", I responded, and then suddenly stoped, as I whispered, "It appears like we do."
