"Are you sure we got everything Y/N?"
Your mom was about to have an anxiety attack. Seriously. It was almost time for you to board the plane to California. Being that it was four thirty in the morning, you mom was panicking and energized off of two cups of coffee.
"I'm sure mom. Stop stressing so much." You sighed as you placed your duffle bag on the airport floor next to you. You were making the time pass by with playing a game on your phone, while your mom was checking through your bags. "I don't see your tampons."
"Mom," you groaned. "I'll get them in Cali when I need them." You kept your voice down from the male sitting next to you on your left. It was embarrassing to talk about that in public, and your mom didn't care where she said it. You were glad that she wouldn't embarrass you anymore.
"I wish your dad was here to see you leave. I think he would take it the hardest."
You ignored her comment and stopped playing your game that you lost, and watched as more people came in the area you both were currently at. Your dad was too busy with work and his other family to care about you, but that's what you thought all the time.
An announcement came over the speakers stating that your plane would be boarding at this time. You locked your phone and stood up, stretching and yawning at how sleepy you were getting. You turned to your mother and saw her crying.
"I thought you said dad would take it the hardest."
"Yeah but he's not here so I'm taking it the hardest. My baby is leaving. I'm gonna be all alone now in the house."
"Bryan will be visiting sometimes." Bryan was your older brother who graduated from college three months ago. He works at his friend's company not too far away from your mother's house.
"Aww mom," you pulled her in for a tight hug, "You can't be like this now...you're gonna make me stay." You laughed as you hugged her tighter and tried to hold in the tears. You were nervous about leaving your mother and going off on your own, but you know you had no choice. You had to grow up and face the real world. It just came by so fast to you.
"Tell your friends I said hi." Your mother said as she let you go. You nodded at that and helped grab your suitcases and put them where they belonged. Your mother reached you your small duffle bag and you sat it on your shoulder. She handed you your plane ticket and walked you to the entrance of the plane.
"Call me when you land." You rolled your eyes. "I'll call you when I get settled in."
"That's fine." She said as she took out a tissue from her purse and wiped her eyes. "I want you to remember to make the right choices Y/N."
"Mom you gave me this talk last night."
"I know but I'm just making sure honey!"
More and more people started to board the plane. "Mom, I have to go now. I'll call you okay?" You said as you started walking to the line where the people were boarding the plane.
"I love you Y/N!" You mom shouted. You turned around back to her and blew her a kiss. "Love you mom!"
