Ninjago's New Heroes [REWRITTEN]

CHAPTER 3 - ORBS OF ELEMENTAL POWER

Connor and Beta, quickly hurried through the streets of ninjago city, attempting to make up for the lost time they spent in the sewers. They eventually reached their destination, walking up the large driveway that led to a familiar house. After a knock on the door, their friend Valerie ushered them inside with annoyance in her voice at their tardiness.

"Did you find them?" She asked.

"Yeah, we've got them." Connor answered, stepping past Valerie into the living room where two other figures were seated.

"What took you two so long? Too busy making out to get the orbs?" One of the girls teased, making it extremely obvious that she shipped the two of them together.

Even though they clearly weren't interested in each other that way.

"No Blair, we just ran into one of the possessed while we were trying to collect the orbs." Connor bluntly corrected, being used to the comments the short haired strawberry blonde would say.

"Yeah! You should've seen it! This possessed girl had acid powers! And she was all like, shwwiiiishhh" Beta exclaimed, making strange sounds with his mouth as he reenacted how the girl they had run into earlier used her powers.

"Acid powers?! That's so cool! What did she look like?! You scanned her right?!" Blair asked, obviously intrigued.

"Oh of course I did!" Beta replied, using his cloaking skills to show her exactly what the acid girl looked like.

Connor sighed, realising that during the fight, the reason Beta hadn't shot a bullet away from the acid girl was because he was too busy scanning her.

"Enough already, let's get down to business." The other girl present in the room, Jazlyn spoke up.

"To defeat, the huns!" Beta sang, referencing a disney movie. Which earned him a hard glare from Connor, which was his way of telling Beta to shut up.

"So which orbs did you two find?" Valerie asked.

Connor dropped the two found orbs onto the glass coffee table that sat between the two couches in the room.

"Connor! Careful! If my parents see a dint in this thing they'll kill me!" Valerie exclaimed, frantically searching the coffee table for any signs of damage.

"Ugh, the energy orbs? What are we supposed to do with orbs none of us can use?" Jazlyn asked, completely ignoring Valerie's outburst and continuing with the main discussion.

"That's what I thought too, but then I had another think and well, we've suspected that another pair of orbs are on the mountain of impossible heights where the ninja monastery is right?" Connor explained.

"Yeah and so what?" Blair asked.

"Well, the master of energy would have to be the green ninja's son, and where does the green ninja live?"

"In the ninja monastery!" Beta exclaimed in realisation.

"So what you're saying is, we go to the mountain of impossible heights with the energy orbs, give them to the master of energy and get the orbs on that mountain at the same time?" Jazlyn asked.

"Yes. And I'm sure we can also convince him to help us find the other orbs and stop the possessed."

"How are you so sure?" Valerie questioned.

"Because he came to my house earlier today asking to create a ninja team so all we have to do is just ask him to join our team! Ha! Connor you're a genius!" Beta shouted.

"May I remind all of you that we still have absolutely no idea why the possessed want the orbs? We should be focusing on that rather than deciding to add more members to our party. We already have four orbs, that should be enough to stop the possessed, correct? So why don't we work on getting a prisoner to give us answers instead of going on a wild goose chase?" Jazlyn interjected, unsatisfied with the suggested plan.
