"I don't understand, what was so important about what that guy dropped?" The short haired blonde, that had introduced herself as Lillie, asked.
Rhys had asked her if she knew what the hooded figure had dropped into the water earlier, as he thought it must've been important if they were that defensive towards it.
"Obviously he must've stolen it, which is why he retaliated like that when he saw me following him and when you attempted to attack him. It has to be important." Rhys replied to her."So you seriously want to go back down there with the murdering seaweed?"
"Do you have any other ideas?""It's at the bottom of the ocean now! If it's important, I think we should leave it there!"
"Well then, suit yourself. I'm going back down there to get it."
Ignoring Lillie's reply to his statement, Rhys pulled off the top half of his clothing along with his shoes, he then leaned over the edge of the wooden floorboards, he saw the slightest glint of the object that was dropped into the water earlier and dived right in. Rhys knew that he wouldn't be able to hold his breath long enough to swim all the way down and grab whatever was lying in the sand below, so instead of immediately swimming down and making the most of his limited time. Rhys remained still, submerged in the water as he focused on calming himself and listening to the water around him, soon finding himself being able to breathe slowly in the water. It was a small trick he had figured out himself and he found many advantages with it.
Rhys then calmly pulled himself through the water, getting closer to the sea floor with every movement. Rhys knew this technique was a risky move, the moment he lost his focus he would begin to suffocate.
He kept his eyes locked on the glass ball below in order to keep that focus. But the strangle weed that infested these waters certainly didn't care. Rhys only noticed once one of them wrapped around his waist.
Which caused him to lose his focus.
Rhys' chest tightened upon no longer having any oxygen. As he began to suffocate he quickly tried to pull himself free of the strangle weeds grasp.
Luckily he barely managed to do so, and in a small panic he used his element to propell himself right to the bottom of the ocean before the strangle weed grabbed ahold of him once more. Picking up the glass ball he then quickly propelled himself past the strangle weed and back to the surface before he drowned.
Because of the speed he was traveling at, he was practically launched out of the water and back onto the wooden floorboards of Stiix, coughing heavily as the air returned to his lungs.
"Oh satan are you alright!?" Lillie exclaimed, rushing over to Rhys' side.
"Y-yeah-" He coughed "-I'm fine. I managed to get what that guy dropped by the way."
He lifted up the glass ball that he retrived from the deep waters.
"An elemental orb?" Lillie questioned.
"Wait you know what this thing is??"
"Uh y-yeah, I've read some scriptures about them. They're supposed to be weapons that can only be used by the elemental masters that match the symbol marked on it." She explained.
Rhys looked at the orb, eventually seeing the symbol engraved on it. The symbol was extremely familiar to him, but he couldn't quite remember where he had seen it before.
"Do you know which symbol this is?" Rhys asked, hoping that Lillie would be able to give him an answer.
"Not really... uh but maybe we should focus on it after you dry off and put some clothes back on." Lillie suggested, gesturing to Rhys' bare chest and soaked jeans.
