Ninjago's New Heroes [REWRITTEN]

CHAPTER 5 - TRIP TO A NIGHTMARE

Rhys was confused as to why the girl appeared to be in so much pain, he didn't think an arrow that was made of water could cause so much pain.

But then the screams came to an abrupt stop and the girl fell to the floor, passing out. A black entity emerged from the girls limp body and disappeared into a small cloud of black smoke.

"Uh what did I miss..?" Lillie asked, upon seeing the unconscious girl on the floor

"I have no idea..." Rhys replied.

The girl soon began to stir, she slowly pushed herself up from the floor and Rhys quickly aimed the crossbow at the girl again, unsure of what she would do next.

"Thanks." The girl spoke as she got back on her feet. "I've been wanting to get rid of that demon for a while now."

Rhys was confused, the girl's attitude had completely changed and he had no idea what the girl meant by 'wanting to get rid of that demon'.

"What-"

"Don't worry, I can explain everything. I'm Rene by the way."

"What makes you think I'm going to trust you after what you just did?" Rhys sternly stated.

"I told you, I'll explain it all. I'd just like to know your names first if you don't mind."

"Oh I'm Lillie and this is Rhys." Lillie told her, Rene gave a shocked and suspicious look towards her.

"Lillie? Is that short for anything..?" She asked.

"Uh... no, it's just Lillie... why do you ask?"

"Sorry, I just... apparently the Princess that has been summoning all of the demons into this realm is named Lillian and well... I guess for a moment I had suspicions that you might be her because of the similar names."

"Oh please! Me? Summoning demons? That's ridiculous!" Lillie laughed.

"I know that now. Anyway, I believe I owe you an explanation."

Rene spent the next moments explaining what she knew about the demons being summoned into their realm. Apparently, the only reason she knew this is because the demon that possessed her had only possessed part of her so it could still use her elemental power, which allowed Rene to reach into the demon's thoughts.

"I don't know what she looks like, but I do know that the Demon Princess is searching for a Prince, and that she can't find him on her own, which is why she's summoning demons into this realm." Rene explained.

"But why are the demons possessing people?" Rhys asked.

"Because their bodies can't survive in the conditions of this realm, so in order to survive they have to possess a human body. I believe the demons are also searching to find items needed for some sort of ritual, which is why they've been going after the orbs."

"So what should we do?" Lillie asked.

"We could hide the orbs in locations they wouldn't be able to find." Rene suggested.

"Or we go find the Prince that the Princess is looking for and use him to lure her and the possessed out of the city." Rhys interjected.

"How do you even know who the Prince is?" Lillie spoke, clearly doubting the suggestion that Rhys made.

"Because there's only one Prince in ninjago and I know exactly where to find him." Rhys answered, picking up his phone and dialling a number.

A moment later Rhys returned after finishing his phone call.
