Ninjago's New Heroes [REWRITTEN]

CHAPTER 9 - THE BEGINNING OF THE END

"Okay so, those demon people, or whatever Rhys called them, want these orbs, but we don't know why. They've taken two from us so there must be at least... 4 left, Ice, Earth, Fire and Energy." Harmony stated.

"Or not. The possessed could have them all right now and we wouldn't know, we've SEEN them take two, but we don't know if they have the others or not. Our best bet would be to find their base and take all the orbs they have there." Rhys interjected.

"Wait how do you even know they have a base?" Daniel questioned.

"They're Demons possessing people, if they were to carry the orbs around wherever they went it would be too dangerous considering we could find them, take it from them and use the orb to defeat them instantly, so obviously they have a place to keep them so no one will find them, personally I think it would be a place that's generally close to all of the orbs locations, the central area of Ninjago."

Rue then spoke something in sign language.

"Ninjago City. Exactly," Rhys replied to her, "Harmony, you said you saw two of them exchange the orb in the city right?"

"Well yeah.."

"And you said that shortly after you defeated one of the possessed at the school, another one showed up and took the lightning orb from you."

"Yeaaaah..."

"So clearly that means they had more of them in the area, which means their base had to be close by in order for someone to get there that quickly."

"They could be travelling in groups though." Daniel added.

"They're demons, they have a sinister plan, they'd want to keep a low profile. For them, travelling in groups is way too risky. They'd only travel together if they knew they would encounter an enemy they'd have to fight."

"How do you know this???" Harmony asked.

"... I... uh, I don't know..." Rhys hesitated, his expression slightly dropping into a sad look.

Harmony knew that Rhys was lying, but from the expression on his face, she decided not to push him to give a truthful answer.

"Okay, so how are we supposed to find their base then?" She asked instead.

"We'll have to find one of the possessed and follow them, hopefully one of them will lead us to their base, I think that's the only way we're going to find them."

"Alright, let's prepare to head out then."

Blair was tired, her body had been taken over by that of a demon, but she was still able to see what that demon did with her body, hear the things it heard, feel the things it touched. This is what hurt her, she tried so many times to call out to her friends and warn them, but she had given up. She was traumatised after seeing what the demon had done to her friends, no longer resisting the control of the demon. She didn't know what to do, she didn't know if there was anything she could do. So she had given up... she rested in the abyss of her mind as she unwillingly watched her own body push open the doors that led to the secret base of the demons.

She watched as the demon controlling her moved towards the demon princess and handed her the four orbs that she had stolen from her friends.

"I told you I would get them for you." The demon spoke.

"You've done well, although it did take you longer than I thought.." The princess replied

"The master of earth figured out my plan and tried to stop me from taking the ice orbs, but there's no need to worry. I took care of him."
