Ninjago's New Heroes [REWRITTEN]

CHAPTER 10 - REALITY

Everyone who had previously been possessed by a demon was awake and had left the abandoned storage room, so did the other captured elemental masters. Blair became a crying mess, frantically apologising to Connor, Jazlyn and Valerie. The two girls decided to take her home while Connor stayed with the other kids of the Ninja.

Rhys, Beta and Harmony now stood in front of Lillie, interrogating her to figure out what was going on and to hear her side of the story, while Daniel sat against the wall trying to process everything.

When he first saw Connor, Beta and Josh he knew he recognised them from somewhere, but now that he's had the time to process it, he's realised exactly where he knows them from.

His nightmare.

Now everyone that was present in his horrific nightmare was here. All together. Daniel's panic grew, the chances that his nightmare could become a reality was only growing.

"Hey, mind if I sit?" A voice spoke,

Daniel looked up and saw Josh standing in front of him with a warm smile on his face. It took a few seconds for Daniel's brain to register that he should reply.

"Oh! Uh y-yeah sure" He answered, he felt a little uneasy about speaking to Josh, especially because he knew something bad could happen to him.

Josh politely thanked Daniel and sat down right beside him.

"I'm Joshua by the way, but you can just call me Josh."

"I'm Daniel"

"Well it's nice to meet you Daniel, so you're the master of fire right? I noticed you were using fire powers during the fight." Josh asked, trying to strike up a conversation with him.

"Yeah I am.. Uh what about you? Do you have an elemental power too?"

Josh nodded, "I'm the master of energy."

A short wave of awkward silence washed over them, Josh then eventually spoke again.

"So... what sorts of things do you like to do?" He asked.

"Uhm... well, I like playing video games."

"Oh really? That's cool! Video games are fun, I don't play them very often but I do like them. What kinds of games do you play?"

The two boys continued their conversation and Daniel quickly felt more comfortable around Josh. Finding that he really enjoyed Josh's company, almost completely forgetting all the bad things that had happened that day as they continued to talk and make eachother laugh.

"How are they laughing at a time like this?" Rhys asked Beta and Harmony,

"Don't worry about it Rhys. Okay, Lillie, what are those other demons planning? Surely you know something." Harmony interrogated

"I already told you, I don't know exactly what they're planning. And I don't know if you've noticed but they kinda betrayed me."

"Why would they betray you like that though?" Beta asked, "You said you were their Princess or something right?"

"Demons aren't very fond of half demons... they say we're embarrassments and mistakes... they probably didn't like the idea of a half demon becoming their next ruler..."

"Half demon? So you're only a half?" Rhys asked.

"Yeah... My Mom's a demon and my Dad is human... but.. Somehow our family got separated when I was young so I don't really remember him... and... that's why I'm here... to find him and my brother..."

"But... What does the ritual have to do with that?" Harmony questioned.

"Sirkath uh, one of the demons, told me the ritual could find blood relatives... I was so obsessed with finding my family that I believed him..."
