"An adventure? I can't wait," Ian had said, just before he boarded the plane. Friday sat on a bench in the airport, wondering what she would do next. It would be rough without Ian, but she would manage. She'd have to. Friday was lost in her own thoughts, thinking about all the adventures they would have, just like at Highcrest. Friday was so much so that she didn't realise the young girl, roughly her age, that had sat on the bench next to her. Friday only noticed when the girl tapped her shoulder.

"Excuse me," the girl started, "are you Friday Barnes?"

Friday looked at the girl for a second, trying to think if she had met this girl before. Perhaps she had gotten one of her family members thrown in prison or busted her smuggling electronics into the school, although nobody came to mind.

"Yes," Friday replied, a weary look on her face.

"I was sent here by my organisation, they wanted me to recruit volunteers from Australia," the girl started explaining. Friday noticed that she had a strong American accent. "They asked me to find a miss Friday Barnes. I was told you'd be at this airport."

"Some might say your awfully young to be recruiting somebody," Friday observed, "although they might say similar things about myself sitting here alone."
"Are you in? I need you to say you'll volunteer," the American girl had an oddly nervous expression on her face, due to it being her first time recruiting a volunteer. Not that it was that big of a deal, she just gets... really nervous.

"Would you tell me your name first?"
"Beatrice Baudelaire the Second."
