We Need to Talk
So, were Friday and Ian an item? They knew they had to talk about them, Friday and Ian did. They knew that when Ian came from Italy and started living with them that they'd have to have a proper conversation about their relationship. That conversation happened the very first night that Ian was there...
"Alright, I think we're gonna go off to bed," Harrison whispered, carrying a sleeping Melanie to their bedroom. In true Melanie fashion, she had dozed off 20 minutes before.
"Yeah, me too," Beatrice said, bidding her roommates goodnight as she too went to her room.
After Ian and Friday watched their friends walk off, they awkwardly gazed at each other for a second. They knew what they needed to talk about, and exactly how they felt about it, but neither one was good with feelings. Especially Friday. But they needed to communicate. They need to it sort it out.
"So, uh, I can sleep out here if you want."
Friday made eye contact with Ian, almost losing her self in his. She shook her head.
"Yeah, I- I mean no," she had all these emotions bottled up, and she'd already kinda let them out when they'd kissed, but maybe she hadn't, and she just wanted to sleep in the same bed as Ian because she just wanted to be with him and she missed him so much and it was just too much only being able to communicate with letters and the occasional phone call and she just wanted to be with him because she was almost sure that she might be-
"So you want me to sleep in your bed?"
"Yeah," said Friday, "that'd be nice... Also, are we dating?"
Ian just looked at Friday for a bit, cheeks flushing a pink colour.
"I mean, do you want to be dating?"
"Do you want to be dating?"
"I mean I really like you, and we were dating before, but we were kids and I just-"
"OH MY GO- you're dating ok?" Melanie poked her head out from behind her bedroom door, "You like each other, you're about to share a bed; you're dating!"
Friday and Ian turned bright red as Melanie smirked at them. Friday watched Melanie as she closed the door, and then turned around to see Ian looking at her lips. She pulled him in by the shirt, and was taken back to their very first kiss.
So, yeah, Friday and Ian were dating.
