Liar Liar?
cw: swearing

Friday knew that eventually the time would come. She, or one of her roommates, would have to go on a mission and Ian would have questions. So when her and Harrison got tasked with an odd mission, Friday was a little bit worried about how Ian would react.

"So, you two are going on a road trip that I can't come on, in the middle of the night, and won't be back for another eight hours, and you can't tell me why?"
Friday and Harrison nodded at a confused, somewhat concerned looking Ian and smiled as convincingly as they could. This all happened because they saw Ian on the way out and he innocently asked them where they were going. Friday and Harrison were such terrible liars, so when they said that they were "just going to the shops, but um, yeah no, the shops are still open", Ian didn't believe it for a second. So, they had to tell him the truth. Kind of...

"Don't look so weirded out, I do seemingly strange things all the time!" Friday reassured Ian.
"Yeah, exactly," Harrison nodded, already halfway out the door, "don't stress, man. Trust us."
"Of course. I guess it'll be fun to hang out with Mel and get to know Bea better," Ian replied, eyes darting to the floor. He wasn't a very good liar, either.
"Well, see you babe," Harrison said to Melanie as he went over to the lounge where she was sitting and gave her a hug and kiss. Friday and Ian did the same. As they walked into the hallway Ian whispered to Friday.
"please be very fully discreet."
What? Friday blinked and her heart raced. Surely not... Friday shook it off and smiled.
"Will do."

Beatrice, Ian, and Melanie sat on the lounge together and each ate a slice of the pizza they ordered. They were watching an old movie and occasionally engaged in small talk. Eventually, Melanie found her self dozing off to sleep. She was in that odd place between sleep and consciousness, and that's when Beatrice and Ian started talking, well, whispering ...

"Is she asleep?"
"I think...yeah."
Melanie opened her eyes ever so slightly, while Beatrice got up and started pacing around the coffee table. She seemed stressed.
"Why would you say that to her, Ian!"
Ian shook his head at her and frowned.
"If she's going off on a potentially dangerous mission, then I'm going to want her to know."
Wait, what? Does he know? Melanie wondered, being knocked out of her thoughts when Ian started nervously yelling.
"What if I lose her again, Bea!"
"Shh, you'll wake Mel."
"One time is bad enough, but if she dies it's permanent!"
"Yeah, no shit! I know! I know, okay. But if she finds out, she will ask questions, and if she knows, then..."
"You lose one of your best friends, huh." Ian got up and put his arms on Beatrice's shoulders to stop her from pacing. At this point, Melanie was fairly concerned. She didn't think that Ian was cheating with Beatrice or something. No, he was loyal and she was an incredible friend. However, it didn't take a genius to tell that this was clearly something big. Something to do with V-

"Bea. We either tell her now, or never," Ian said in a surprisingly calm voice.
"You're right," Beatrice replied, "never."
