Do It All For Love

One year later

It had been one year since Fairy Tail was disbanded. A lot happened since then. I never really kept in contact with anyone from the guild, but I heard Lucy became a reporter. Natsu and Happy disappeared right after the guild disbanded, along with Makarov, and Gray disappeared not too long ago. The magic council was reformed by the ten wizard saints.

Rogue and I had also gotten a lot closer and together, we took the next step in our relationship. I looked down at the glistening diamond ring on my ring finger as I waited by the door of the guildhall. We were going on a job, along with Frosch and Minerva. There was a dark guild named Avatar dedicated to my brother. We had been sent to destroy the guild and stop their projects.

I hadn't forgotten the warning Future Rogue told Natsu one year ago either. 'One year later,' he said, which would be around now. Then this job shows up. Once I put the pieces together, I had begged Rogue to let me go with him, so I could protect Frosch. I still hadn't told any of them about the warning though.

Also, that nightmare that I mentioned earlier? I'd been having it a lot more often. Something was coming, I could feel it. What I didn't know was what or when.

I was snapped out of my thoughts by Rogue walking towards me with Frosch and Minerva. "Are you ready?" he asked me.

"I've been ready for the past fifteen minutes," I smirked and put my hands on my hips. I put on a brave face most of the time, but the sad thing is Rogue knew me well enough to see right through it. That smile, however, wasn't entirely fake. We'd known each other for three years and I still got excited seeing him.

"Then let's go," Minerva said with a smile. Minerva and I had also become good friends during the past year. Who knew there was actually a good person underneath all that bitchiness? I looped my arm through hers and led her out the door, leaving the boys trailing behind.

I could practically feel Rogue staring at me. I smirked. "I don't know why you always tease him," Minerva whispered to me.

"Because it's fun," I replied with a big smile. She gave me a look that said, 'stop it'. "Fine". I rolled my eyes. I let go of her arm and stopped walking, waiting for Rogue and Frosch to catch up before looping my arm through his.

We had just caught up to Minerva when we heard yelling behind us. We turned around to see Natsu, Happy and Lucy running towards us. My eyes widened. Without saying anything, Natsu grabbed Rogue and ran off with him, forcing me to let go of his arm, yelling something about a private conversation over his shoulder.

I had barely waited for Lucy and Happy before I ran off after Natsu and Rogue. "(Y/N), he said this was a private conversation," Lucy yelled to me.

"Don't worry, I have a feeling I know what they're talking about," I yelled back over my shoulder. And I was right.

I arrived in a maze. I heard Natsu and Rogue talking about the job we were about to go on. Without waiting for them to finish their conversation, I walked up to them. "You're going after Avatar, aren't you?" I asked Natsu. He nodded. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before opening them again. "Natsu, can I speak to Rogue alone for a moment?" he nodded before walking away again. When he was out of sight, I turned to Rogue. "I'm going with them".

His eyes widened. "Are you returning to Fairy Tail?"

I shook my head softly. I reached my hand up and cupped his cheek. "No, but this guild is related to my brother. I have to find out more about it. I have to go; you know I do".

He looked down. I could see the worry and concern on his face. It was clear he didn't want me to go, but he also knew I was my own person and he couldn't stop me and that was one of the many things I loved about him. He looked back up at me. "Be careful. Promise me you'll be back as soon as possible".
