The Final Battle

All of a sudden, I disappeared and landed in what looked like the space inside the rift in time. I looked around and saw the six of the dragon slayers trapped in crystals. I spun around and came face-to-face with Acnologia.

Not a moment later, Natsu appeared beside me. I rushed over to support him. "Where am I?" he asked, looking around.

"You're in the rift in time," I answered. I then turned to Acnologia. "What am I doing here?" I asked him.

"You're a nuisance as well," he answered simply.

"So you brought me here to kill me as well as the dragon slayers," I realised. I smirked. "I must be one formidable foe if you're so willing to kill me. But don't you know how foolish it is to try and kill an immortal?" As he tried to trap Natsu in a crystal like the others, I sent a blast of black magic to stop him, which he just dodged.

I was about to send another blast his way when the crystals behind me cracked and eventually shattered completely, freeing the rest of the dragon slayers.

"Took you long enough," I said over my shoulder. "I was beginning to think you'd never break out of there". I turned to them. "Are you guys all right?"

"This is nothing," Gajeel said with a big grin. I looked around to see that they all felt the same way.

With that, we all faced Acnologia, ready to fight him.

We all launched ourselves towards him, leaving Wendy behind to support us with her magic. We sent attack after attack at him, but they seemed to have no effect on him as he countered all of them.

Suddenly, Acnologia sent an attack towards Natsu that only Wendy and I seemed to notice. "Look out, Natsu!" I yelled. He quickly turned in the direction of the attack. Knowing it was too late for him to dodge, I ran towards him and pushed him out of the way, taking the attack myself.

"(Y/N)!" I heard Natsu yell as I went flying back and my back slammed into one of the crystals behind us.

"I'm fine," I managed to choke out as I slowly got up.

"I'm surprised you're still conscious after that attack," Acnologia said with a smirk. I just glared at him but stayed where I was as everyone else started to fight him again.

One by one, the dragon slayers went down, until it was just me and Natsu. Knowing we were out of options, I prepared to do the only thing I could.

I gathered every ounce of black magic I had left. 'Ankhseram, I know you hate me but please, lend me your strength'. When I was done, I hurled every bit of it at Acnologia.

I waited for the result, but my eyes widened seeing that it had no effect on him. It was then that I felt the effects of my attack. I started to feel incredibly weakened as my eyelids started to feel heavy. I saw the ground get closer until everything went black.

A/N: Wow, I haven't done a chapter this short since the beginning of book 2. Now, the main story is over. Soon, you'll get to choose your ending-
