A while later, I noticed Natsu standing by the balcony alone. Hesitantly, I walked up to him and joined him on the balcony. "Penny for your thoughts?" I asked, trying to lighten up the mood.

"So it's true?" He asked me, ignoring my words.

I knew what he was talking about. I nodded slowly. "You saw it with your own two eyes. Everything Zeref said is true".

He turned to me. "Why didn't you say anything?"

I looked out at the horizon. "I like to believe it's because I was trying to protect you, but I guess the truth is I was just protecting myself. I guess I was afraid of what you would do, how you would react".

"If there's one thing Fairy Tail taught me, it's the importance of family. You're my sister! I don't abandon my family, and that includes blood".

I turned to him with a smile. "You have no idea how happy that makes me". All of a sudden, I remembered something. "By the way, are you going to tell them? Because I kinda hinted at something while you were unconscious".

"I'll tell them when the war is over". I nodded.

I turned to face him fully. "I only really came here to make sure you were alright. Now that I know you are, I should really head back to the north to give my guild a hand".

"Say hi to Sting and Rogue for me," he said with a wave.

I nodded. "Be careful". I gave him one last smile before teleporting away.

Nothing could prepare me for what I saw. Levy and Gajeel's group were standing in front of my guild, who were tied to crosses unconscious.

When they heard my footsteps, they turned around. Levy rushed over to me as I put my hand over my mouth and fell to my knees. It felt like the wind had been knocked out of me. "Get them down!" Gajeel ordered, not that I was really listening. I couldn't hear anything over the sound of my own heartbeat.

It was only when I saw them taking down the guild members that I could really move. I walked over to the crosses to help get them down. We moved them to an area away from the battlefield so they could recover while Gajeel's team fought the Spriggan army responsible for almost killing Sabertooth and Blue Pegasus.

I stayed with them. While they were recovering, the snow-covered land turned into a flower field. I recognised this magic. 'Irene'. I looked to the top of the mountain next to us as though I could see Irene standing there, mocking us.

I did my best to help my friends recover, not that there was much I could do. Sting was feeling guilty, saying things like, "I'm nothing but a screw-up. I'm supposed to be the master of our guild".

Yukino pulled him up and slapped him across the face, which I hate to admit I quite enjoyed seeing. "You are our master Sting, and that means when things get as dark as they are now, you lead us out of it".

I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around him. After a few seconds, I let go and grabbed his hands. "You are the best thing that has ever happened to this guild, and I'm sure everyone here would agree. Yes, you're the guild master, but even leaders make mistakes. I'm sorry for not giving you more information on our enemy, but the past is the past and as I've learned the hard way, there's nothing you can do to change it. But you can work to fix those mistakes and make sure they have no great impact on the future, and I think that starts with helping our friends defeat said enemy".

I let go of his hands as he reached up to wipe his tears. "Thanks, both of you". Yukino and I smiled at each other. Thanks to Yukino and me, Sting was back on his feet. Then he lead us back to the battlefield.

We defeated enemy after enemy. Suddenly, everyone started dying. I narrowed my eyes knowing who this spell belonged to. 'Bloodman'. We continued dealing with the regular Alvarez soldiers while Levy and Gajeel moved to the front lines. I wasn't worried, I knew Gajeel wasn't the type to go down without a fight, and I knew he'd protect Levy with his life.

Suddenly, a blast flew through the air and landed in the middle of the Alvarez army. I smirked. 'They're finally here'. I looked into the distance to see one of Sorano's contraptions.

Sting, Rogue, Yukino, Minerva and I were in a group together when the ground started glowing red. My eyes widened when I recognised this spell. 'This spell... This looks like the Universe One spell Zeref taught her. But she wouldn't, would she?' I looked over at the mountain where I knew Irene was. I turned back to look at my friends and my eyes locked with Rogue's. I wrapped my arms around him knowing that there was a possibility I wouldn't see him until Irene had been defeated, especially since even I didn't know where she would place me or any of the others. I pulled away and said one last "I love you" to him before everything went white.

When I opened my eyes, I was back in the Fairy Tail guildhall. I looked around and realised I had come face-to-face with Zeref.

A/N: I was actually halfway through the episode when I published this, so I apologise if I got any of the details wrong.
