We arrived at this church-type building in the middle of a dead forest. I could tell this was the place by the overwhelming amount of dark energy surrounding the place. I could also sense Gray inside.

We were trying to think about a plan when Lucy summoned Virgo to dig a hole underground to lead to the inside of the guildhall. We managed to sneak into the guild when Natsu started yelling Gray's name, me and Lucy trying to shut him up.

A member of Avatar showed up holding Cain's cursed doll, known as Mr Cursey. Natsu punched him, knocking him out, just as another member came running down the stairs. He kept using his magic to direct the torture equipment in the room towards us until he managed to lock Natsu in some sort of iron coffin.

Just as I was about to rush towards him, the coffin melted and out jumped Natsu. After that, one by one, Natsu managed to defeat him all by himself until Gray walked into the room. The five of us went still.

Natsu and Gray proceeded to fight, Lucy, Virgo, Happy and I watching silently with wide eyes. It almost seemed like old times, almost. A sad smile appeared on my face at the memories.

Natsu told Gray that he planned to build Fairy Tail, to which the latter revealed that he had no intention of returning to Fairy Tail, saying that it was in his past and he wanted nothing to do with the guild or anyone in it. Suddenly Lucy walked up to him and slapped him across the face, to everyone's surprise.

As she was talking, Lucy suddenly started clutching her stomach in pain. While we were worrying about her, chains wrapped around us and we were on the ground in an instant. We looked back to see that person that was controlling the torture equipment controlling the chains.

Before I knew it, every member of Fairy Tail was down. A small smile appeared on my face as I felt the chains start to disintegrate. Nonchalantly, I stood up and dusted myself off. All the Avatar members were too shocked for words, apart from Gray, who seemed to expect that. "How did you get out? You shouldn't be able to use magic?" One of the members managed to say.

I smirked and raised an eyebrow at him. "Magic? Whoever said anything about magic? I'm using a curse, one that relies on anger and with the way you've been treating my friends, believe me when I say I'm furious!" I made my eyes turn red as I started to gather as much dark energy as I could.

"W-who are you?" I didn't know who asked that question, didn't really care.

"My name is (Y/N). I am the Princess of Darkness and the little sister of the Dark Lord Zeref," I answered, much to everyone's surprise. I summoned my cape as I was speaking. "Zeref doesn't like what you've been doing and your plans for the future, so he sent me here to stop those plans, this 'purification plan'". That wasn't at all a lie. I had been in contact with Zeref, Rogue being the only one who knew.

Everyone went still at my words. "No, that's impossible! Everything we do is for our Lord Zeref". It seemed they were in denial. The truth hurts.

I rolled my eyes. As I opened my mouth to speak, my stomach suddenly started hurting, as Lucy's had. I clutched my stomach as I fell to my knees. With a blow to the head, I was out.

When I finally opened my eyes, I was in a prison cell cuffed to the wall and a blonde guy was with me. I tried to reach into my curse but came up empty. "What did you do to me?!" I yelled at the man as I yanked on the cuffs.

"Those cuffs were modified to make that curse of yours ineffective," he answered. "Now why don't you tell me who you really are, imposter?"

My eyes widened. "I'm not an imposter!"

"Lord Zeref would never disapprove of our project, he would be pleased".

I smirked. "Then clearly you don't know my brother as well as you thought".

After a while, he sighed. "I don't have time for this, I need to meet the others for the purification plan. I'll tell Gômon to deal with you once he's done with your friends". And then he was gone.

I yanked on the cuffs once more. Using the link, I mentally called out to my brother, "Zeref, help me".

A few seconds later, the cell bars disintegrated and in walked the very person I had just called out to. A moment later, my cuffs were also gone. I landed on the ground gracefully. I looked at my brother. "Thanks," I said to him.

"Are you alright?" I could tell he was worried.

I nodded. "I'm not giving up. I will complete the job you gave me". I could tell he could see the determination on my face by the way he was staring at me. Suddenly, we heard footsteps coming from down the hall. I turned to Zeref. "You should go before they find you here". He nodded then disappeared just as Natsu, Lucy, Happy and Gray came into view.

I gave them a shy smile when I saw them. They looked too shocked for words. "How did you...?" Gray started. I think he was too shocked to finish.

"I'll explain on the way," I replied. I turned to Gray. "Do you know where they're going?"

We all knew what I was talking about. He nodded. He told us the purification plan was happening to a small town called Malba.

"What is this 'purification plan?'" Natsu asked clueless as always, though this time couldn't really blame him, seeing as no one told them about it.

Gray opened his mouth to speak but I beat him to it. "They're planning to wipe out an entire city". Gray turned to me with eyebrows raised. He didn't even have to open his mouth for me to know what he was thinking. "What? I told you Zeref wanted me to stop them, didn't I?"

"Wait, you were serious?" Natsu asked, surprised for some reason.

I nodded as though it should have been obvious. After a moment, I spoke up again. "Now, as much as I would love to stand around chatting if we don't hurry up, Malba City will no longer exist!"

With that, we raced off to stop Avatar. As promised, I told them how I escaped the cell. None of them seemed too pleased that I let Zeref go, but after I explained to them that this confrontation would have cost us even more time, they were ok with it.

We arrived at Malba's city gates in time to see the entire Avatar army starting to advance toward the city.

We started trying to push them back when we found out Erza was also attacking them from the rear. After that, we all split up and went off to fight our own battles.

While I was fighting, I noticed Lucy on the ground clutching her stomach thanks to the same spell that affected me back at the Avatar church and an annoyingly perky girl with short pink hair looming over her.

I used my magic to knock her off balance. With her magic losing effect, I rushed over to help Lucy up. "Are you alright?" I asked her, worriedly.

She nodded. I looked up to see Carla and Wendy flying into view. When they landed, we waved at each other before I resumed my fighting and left the perky girl to the three of them.

Suddenly, the sky darkened. The sky parted slightly to make way for a familiar figure I'd only learnt about. I gasped. "It can't be..."
