ARC 2: A sneaky plan

~Meliodas's POV~

In my bag, was a book. Not just any book, a memory book. It's filled to the brim with pictures of me and Elizabeth. This isn't just something I made today, I continued it on and on since we met. I feel like if I finally showed her, she'd see that I'm not lying.

Why would she ever like a prick like me though? I'm a really bad person to be around.

Elizabeth was already at the park, alone. I decide to scare her.

I heard her sigh, before whispering to herself "Am I still number one, Meliodas..?"

"You're still number one, Elizabeth." I say, grinning whilst standing infront of her. She was sitting underneath the biggest oak tree.

"KYAAAA. Don't scare me like that!!!!" she screams, going red. I've never heard her make that noise before.

"You make the cutest noises, Ellie. I've got you some things."

"You got me things??" she repeats, but ttansforming it into a question.

"Yeah."

I give her maccies, since she loveees maccies. I then gave her some earrings, which were my mothers, but she said to pass it onto someone you love.

"MACCIES!!!!" she screams, then notices the earrings.

"Meliodas...these are beautiful, where did you find the time to get them???" she asks. I sit down next to her.

"They were mothers. She told me to pass them onto someone I love, and you're the one I love." I say.

"B-but...what about..Z-"

"Don't mention her. I don't have attraction for her in any way shape or form, and I'll prove it to you." I continue.

I pull out the book. The cover was a drawing I made of me and her. I had spent AGES on the cover.

"You..drew this? You're literally amazing-" Elizabeth says, speechless.

"It took me absolutely ages to complete the cover." I say, we then flick through the pages, one by one, laughing at all the great times we had.

I then see tears form from her eyes.

"Why the crying??" I ask, concern raising in my eyes.

"Of happiness. It's because I met you. I'm so glad I did. I don't know what I'd do without you, Meliodas.." she says, and she lays there, her head on my lap.

My fingers run through her hair, and she falls asleep. I continue to play with her hair. So soft...and silky...

"CAPTAIN! ELIZABETH!" I hear someone familiar yell. We both awake, to see Diane running towards us, a lot of concern and scaredness in her face.

"Diane??" Elizabeth asks, raising one eyebrow. She's been doing that a lot, I'm the one who taught her that, and she picked it up in a short space of time.

"Don't forget I taught you that raising one eyebrow thing." I say, grabbing her waist, and smirking at her. Pink arises from her cheeks.

"Wait...captain..what about the curse???" Diane asks.

"How did you-"

"I overheard Zaneri and Arthur talking. I need explanations.."

"Wait...curse...?" Elizabeth asks, RAISING ONE EYEBROW AGAIN.

"Why do you always raise one eyebrow-" Diane asks.

"We literally just went over that." I say, sighing.

"Anyways, Jenna tried to put me in a curse that I was immune to. She tried making me fall for Zaneri, instead of Elizabeth. The curse was a fail though. Now, what's Arthur and Zaneri planning?" I continue.

"They want to...curse Elizabeth...." Diane drifts off.

"They already tried to." Elizabeth says, this makes me raise one eyebrow.

"Wait, how did yall not get affected by the curse??" Diane asks.

"That'd be because we're not in the human race. WAIT, then Elizabeth, what are you???" I ask.

"Elizabeth..isn't a human?" Diane asks.

Elizabeth sighs.

"Promise not to tell anyone??" she asks.

"Promise on all our hearts." me and Diane say in unison.

She slowly lifts up the bangs covering her right eye, and it has...the...goddess symbol...

I gulp. But it's okay. I'm not following ancient rules.

Basically, one of the rules, is that Goddesses and Demons are not supposed to fall in love. This rule was placed after the ancient holy war, but nowadays there are probably many of people from both the clans falling in love, so it shouldn't be a massive deal.

I'm still shocked though. It all makes sense.

"Wait..so...if she's a goddess...and you're a demon....." Diane drifts off.

"Yeah, well I'm not following that rule. A race shouldn't define a person." Elizabeth responds, me nodding in agreement.

"Wait, I'm confused. So why did you say yes to Zaneri???" Diane asks, in curiosity.

"To mess around a lil bit, I was gonna like act all sweet and show up to the date, then go ape shit at her for trying to get me in a curse, but now that it's a double date, this makes it even better." I say, smirking at Elizabeth.

"Wait, so what do I do at the date??" she asks.

"Just relax. I'll do the talking. All you need to do is be you."

"Yeah, but if she pretends to show affection to Arthur you're gonna get-" Diane is interrupted by me.

"Shush Diane." I say.

"Diane, record it pleaseeee." I continue.

She nods, and Elizabeth calls Arthur to tell him she's going on the date.

She ends the call, and smiles at us.

"Well then gang, a plan is a plan. Let's go get ready!" I cheer brightfully, the girls nodding.

Tonight was gonna be great, but there's something I haven't told the girls yet....
