Fates Decision~

ARC 2: Arthur.

~Elizabeth's POV~

"Right, I've got 3 guys, who I think would be adorable with you. The first guy, is Arthur."

Arthur walks up, kissing my hand.

I fake a smile. How was I supposed to be happy? I will never get over Meliodas. He helped me through a lot.

"Alright, Arthur and Elizabeth, get to know each other, I'll be watching as I organise the other two guys!" Diane squeals, with joy, then walks a little bit.

"May I just tell you how beautiful you look today??" Arthur asks. I remember when Meliodas would call me that. I still have the note, I got it returned to me early.

Flashback:

"Elizabeth, may I borrow you for a second?" Mr Hendrickson calls out, as the others were leaving the classroom.

"Of course!" I return, walking up to him.

"This note...Meliodas wrote it?" he asks.

"S-seems so.." I stutter.

"Well, I had the urge to read it, and I did. He REALLY likes you..." he says.

"Probably not, I'm useless.." I drift off.

"Everybody has somebody. Fate matched you two up!"

END OF FLASHBACK:

Fate pulled us apart again, it seems.

"Thanks, Arthur.." I say.

"May I interest you into a date??" he asks suddenly.

"Isn't this..a bit too soon??" I ask, raising one eyebrow.

"Not really, first date we get to know each other. We can even share ice cream.."

I remember walking with Meliodas, sharing the ice cream.

The bell rings, and everyone heads to class. I'm about to walk into biology, the place where I have to sit next to Meliodas.

I feel someone tug my sleeve. It probably wasn't Meliodas, but I check anyways. It..is? His blonde hair, his emerald green eyes. Of course it was.

"Class can wait, I really need to talk to you..." he says. His eyes weren't booming happy like usual, it looked like he'd been crying? Did Zaneri drop out on him or something?

Obviously, I said yes. I may be upset, but I wasn't going to escape the opportunity to talk to him.

We stand over the school balcony, and he faces towards me.

"I know I hurt you, and I'm sorry. But it's not what you think.." Meliodas drifts off.

"Meliodas, you don't have to lie, you can be with Zaneri if you want." I say, looking down.

"Like I said, it's not what you think, Elizabeth."

"You're going on a date, how is this not what I think??" I ask, getting mad. Why does he keep lying?

"I figured you be mad, I would be too. Allow me to explain-"

"I mean, there's already enough explanation, you love her and that's that.." I say, about to walk off. He tugs on my shoulder again.

"Meliodas, we've missed a lot of lesson already-"

"Fine..are we still..up for the park??" he asks, which makes me blush, thinking about the note.

"You have Zaneri to take now."

"But that note wasn't written for her, it was written for you." he says, which makes me blush more somehow?? Why was I blushing to someone who clearly didn't like me?

"Why wasn't it written for her? I mean, comparing me and her. She's beautiful, smart, everything you want. I'm just the complete opposite."

"Don't start this. You are beautiful, El. Like I said, you're the most gorgeous girl I've met. Now let's go to class."
he says, smirking at me. I somehow manage to connect with him again, it was a bit awkward though, considering what just happened.

I continue to sit next to him for biology, because he's not the enemy.

I feel someone tap my shoulder. Arthur is in our class??"

"El, is there anything we can do to get to know each other bette-"

"Arthur, I'm sorry. I'm not interested in anyone....else..."

"Else?? Well, forget whoever that was. Diane set me up with you for a reason, so we need to go on a-"

"Listen, bud. You either stop being so pushy, or allow me to make you stop myself." Meliodas says, standing out of his chair.

"Ah, you must be the "else." Don't worry, I'll make Elizabeth fall for me." Arthur winks.

"Oh yeah?" he asks, smirking at me. His smirk always makes me blush..I can never stay mad or upset at him.

"This is just the beginning, guys." Arthur says, going back to his seat.

"You alright, El??" he asks me, casually.

"M-mhm.." I stammer, with a sigh of relief.

"So...you didn't answer my question earlier. You still up for the park??" he continues.

"Only for you to hurt her again.." Diane says, rolling her eyes.

"Diane, I didn't mean to hurt her.." he says. He puts his head on the desk for the rest of this lesson.

"Meliodas...what's wrong?" I eventually ask.

"Remember that promise I made about protecting you? I'm scared I'm not doing a good job at that..." he drifts off, tears in his eyes.

"Don't cry, Meliodas. You always keep your promises, that's what makes you so inspiring and amazing.." I end up blurting out, hugging him. He hugs back.

"So, you still didn't answer. Are we up for the park??" he asks, still hugging me.

"Of course we are..." I respond, as we slowly release, Diane giving the captain a suspicious glare.

~Diane's POV~

When the bell rings, and we're dismissed, we all leave class. Before I walk off in annoyance, I see Zaneri and Arthur, which I'd figure is a bit suspicious.

"Right, you want Elizabeth, and I want Meliodas? Well, let's ALL have a double date. Jenna can set the curse on Elizabeth that she set on Meliodas.."

That's all Diane heard until she ran off from the conversation, desperate to find Elizabeth and Meliodas.
